I'm really curious about the timeline of the series. There are a few instances that reference 50 years ago (the Riddles being found dead, the Chamber of Secrets being opened, if I remember correctly the Whomping Willow) that don't really make sense. (if that statement even made sense lol)
Wormtail! uh-oh...
How could he hear the snake headed towards the room, but he didn't hear Frank and his cane earlier? Also- how do you milk a snake?
The end of this first chapter is like magic - gives me chills every time.

"How do you milk a snake?" Lmao. You milk anything with nipples.
Lol. It is a line from Meet the Parents. When you said that that is what I thought.
I am not 100% sure it might mean taking their venom.

"Two hundred miles away the boy called Harry Potter woke with a start"
Poor Frank! I can't help wondering how I would react if I overheard a conversation including words such as: "ministry of Magic", "wizards", "Muggles". Very good chapter. Rowling always finds clever ways to start her books. This one is not an exception!
