It's part of the Unfettered anthology and really lets you get to know Bast better.

You don't get exact answers to the questions your asking but you do get a much closer look at Bast and how his mind works.

The Anthology has a bunch of good stories from other authors as well.

Did you know Patrick Rothfuss published the anthology and wrote his portion to help his friend Shawn Speakman out. Shawn had cancer and couldn’t get insurance because he had cancer previously. So Patrick published the anthology to help him with his bills. Totally sweet. Love that guy. He has a heart of gold.

That is an incredible gesture. Definitely one of the top authors I'd like to meet.

Update... Unfettered has a piece in it by Patrick however the book that has a section about Bast is Rogues. It is adorable and very insightful. Makes you understand Bast and the magic around him and Kvothe’s beautiful heart.
