“It’s really not that easy.” She told him.

“No?” He asked.

"You should know that." She challenged.

He rolled his eyes. “It’s easy,” he said simply.

“How would you know if you’ve never done it?” She smirked.

He lifted a book and smirked, “do you know what this is?” He asked.

((Honestly, at this point idk what to do, I’m just winging it.))

She squinted at it. “If you would bring it closer maybe I could read it.”

“Oh yeah, course,” Maddox stepped closer so she could see.

She blinked and read the title. “Old school Latin. Nice.”

((I’m and laughing my ass off at this interaction LOL)

“Yeah,” he beamed proudly. “I started learning a few months ago,” he explained and started flipping through it.

“Congratulations.” She muttered:

“Okay, you seem nice, I feel bad,” he said as he flipped through the book. “So I’ll let you choose how you die,” he said.

She blinked. “What?”

“What what?” He asked. “I’m going to let you choose how you die. I’m a hunter but I can be nice.”

“There’s not many options. And they’re not easy.” She said.

“Oh, I have time,” he said.

"Archer will be here any second." She repeated.

He shrugged, “we’re friends, it’s cool.” He said.

“We fuck like all the time.” She said

He shrugged, “a good fuck doesn’t mean shit.”

“But he does it with me. A demon.” She said

He paused before answering, “Archer is a dedicated hunter, he’ll help me.” His voice sounded unsure now.

Archer walked up the stairs and stopped when he saw the door to her apartment open. He was sure he closed it behind him. He set the milk down next to the door and put his hand on his gun as he creeped to the door.

"I'd be long dead if he was dedicated." She said.

Archer carefully peaked the door open, bringing out his gun slowly. He then aimed it at Lyra, unsure about the situation. The door closed behind him with a click.

“You’d be surprised at the length a dedicated hunter would go to get his prey,” he said, “you talk to much, did you know that?” He asked, even though he was the one babbling. “Let’s see then,” he said and flipped through the book. He looked behind him at the door, “see?” He said when he saw Archer with his gun aimed at the demon.

Her eyes darted to Archer. Her face still looked demonic. "Do you know how many times he's pointed a gun at me?"

“What’s your point?” Maddox asked after a moment.
Archer stared at her face for a long while before flicking his eyes to Maddox.

“My point is he won’t shoot:” She said.

Archer hated that she was right. He turned his gun to aim at Maddox. “I might,” he said.
Maddox looked back at Archer, “you’ve got to be kidding me.”

She inhaled sharply. “Archer.” She said, getting his attention. “Shoot me.” She gave him a look, trying to say ‘it don’t hurt me.’

Archer looked at her and crossed his brows. “No,” he said. “These are demon killing bullets.”

She rolled her eyes. “A bullet cant kill me.”

“Normal bullets can’t, these can,” he said.

She sighed and rolled her eyes.

Maddox was inching out of the apartment, since they were distracted but Archer spotted him, “move another inch and I’ll shoot you,” he warned.
“Shoot her,” Maddox said. “I’m your friend... and fellow Hunter,” he said, trying not to grovel now.

Lyra narrowed her eyes and made some of the furniture shake. She then suddenly looked around, scared.

Archer looked over at her, “Lyra?” He said.

“He’s here.” She whispered very quietly.

Archer blinked, “who?” He asked her.
Maddox looked between the two of them, now a little scared.

“My father.” She whispered, just as the lights went out, even the flames.

“Your father?” Maddox squeaked, he had no idea who that was but he was scared.

In the dark, Lyra shuffled away from them, scrambling in the dark. SHe could see in the dark, and grabbed Archer's arm.

Archer wasn’t sure how he knew that it was her but he did, he looked over at her.

“Don’t let go of me.” She said to him. The apartment groaned

“He wont leave unless you’re dead,” he whispered to her. “And if he does, he’ll come with back up, we have to make it seem like your dead.”

“My father will kill him first.” She said, then cried out in pain, falling to her knees.

“What’s going on?” Maddox asked frantically, looking around.
Archer gritted his teeth, looking from her to Maddox and then around for her father.

“Stop it.” She groaned, holding her head.

Archer looked at her and kneeled down in front of her, “Lyra,” he said, not knowing what to do as he put his hands on either side of her head.

((Sorry I’ve been working all weekend))

She winced and pushes at him. “Don’t! He’ll hurt you.”

((It’s alright, I haven’t really been active either.))

Archer growled, “I don’t care,” he stated.
