The Peerless Seer, first in the series, introduces the secret magic world, which exists in contemporary times; the magic system, which requires a knowledge of science and nature; and only some of the dangers facing Emaleen.
In the Peerless Seer's Gambit, second in the series, the story unfolds just a little bit more as Emaleen's inner strength and the difficulty of the challenges she musts encounter increase. But there is still much to be revealed about Emaleen's world in the third book and beyond.
