I just did this series tracker as well. Weird that it seems I tend to abandon books in the board fantasy genre by women authors. What's up with that?(except for Patrick Rothfuss). I didn't put Sanderson there as I still intended to give his work another go some day.

Maybe the percentage of women authors I read vs men authors.

The Last Mortal Bond 4/5 - I'm excited to have actually completed a series. Thank goodness there are still trilogies being written.

October Buddy Reads are done. And just right at the end of the month.

The King's Blood 3/5. Took way too long to get me invested in the story.

Gardens of the Moon 5/5. Loved it. So intricate and detailed.

I liked The Warded Man book, a bit slow start but got into it.

Added The Demon King to read in March 2017.

Stardust 3/5 it just wasn't really my kind of book. 3/5

I'd also like to read Red seas under red skies. Finished the first book longer time back and wanted to read the other 2 ever since. Could I also read it with you?

Finished my February buddy reads. The Lions of Al-Rassan. 5/5. Great historical fantasy read. I'll definitely be reading more by the author in the future.

Finished The Demon King 3/5.

Added Smoke and Mirrors: Short Fiction and Illusions to June.

Added Malice to 18th June. I've heard good things about this series, so hoping I'll enjoy the book.

Promise of Blood 3/5 Wonderful magic system, but never warmed to any of the characters.
Red Seas Under Red Skies crossing over into June as well for me.

Red Seas Under Red Skies 4/5. Enjoying Jean and Locke, but book was too long.
Smoke and Mirrors: Short Fiction and Illusions - bit of bust really. Wasn't that great.
Malice finally have from the library so going to try in July.

July Buddy Reads.

The Republic of Thieves Read with Laura. End up being 3/5. I liked the first two books more and The Lies of Locke Lamora is still my favourite in the series.

House of Chains Read with Samir. 4/5. A great addition to the series, but not on par with the first three books.

Malice - 4/5. Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Looking forward to the next book.

The Curse of Chalion. I ended up putting this aside for now. I just started to feel like I wasn't in the mood for it currently.

Added Midnight Tides to start late September.

Added Low Town as a maybe for October.

Don't forget the FBR monthly book club reads for Sept and October.

I haven't committed to them yet Kieron as I'm unsure if I can fit them in. It would be nice to take part but realistically it might not happen, especially as I'm hoping to start the next Malazan book.

I know what you mean, there are so many good series starting every month, it's hard to commit to them all. Malazan must take priority over everything that goes without saying.

Pretty true Kieron. I'm looking forward to my first ICE book too. Hopefully in December.

Awesome Miche! I couldn't keep up with the pace in Buddies, Books and Baubles.

I hit a reading block and didn't read anything for almost 2 months. That put me behind schedule and no way I can go faster to catch up with those series. The books are so emotionally heavy that I can't read at my normal speed.

August Buddy Reads

Tigana was a large buddy read, which I really enjoyed. 4/5.
Kings of the Wyld 4/5. Enjoyable first in series.

September Buddy Reads

Valor - Loved it 5/5.
Sailing to Sarantium 4/5 - a bit of a struggle to read, in that I was never fully engaged until the last third of the book.

October Buddy Reads

Midnight Tides 5/5 - absolutely amazing. Definitely reread material.

The other buddy reads were a bust this month. I'm blaming Midnight Tides and Ruin (Faithful and the Fallen #3). The latter as I decided to read it early, not being able to wait for the buddy read group in November.

I pulled out of A Song for Arbonne and The Pillars of the Earth. Pillars I'm hoping to read in December while on holiday.
