Sean (capthowdy) | 75 comments I'm interested in getting some art books from some of the sword & sorcery greats such as Frazetta & Whelan, etc. Trouble is, after searching around I for the life of me don't know what to get. There doesn't appear to be any kind of 'definitive' art book with the artists famous /popular works or the completionist in me at least desires some kind of collection with a page dedicated to a nice reprint of their pieces.

I'm looking for your basic nice, coffee-table art book. Do you folks have any recommendations?

I have a couple from Roy G. Krenkel that I quite like: Swordsmen and Saurians and Cities & Scenes From The Ancient World.

I have Icon: A Retrospective by the Grand Master of Fantastic Art, Frank Frazetta, which is pretty good I think. It was part of trilogy (the next two being Legacy: Selected Paintings and Drawings and Testament: The Life and Art of Frank Frazetta).
