message 4: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments I don't think we've been on the same team before but I know we've chatted at times on the main threads. :)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments I'm new to the MMC since I joined the group last year right after so not even quite sure how this all works yet but excited to get started.

message 6: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Exactly :)

message 9: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments So who picks the numbers for this one? Do we take turns or how does this work? And when we finish a book should we just make our own guess or try to decide which letter as a group? As a group may be tough if we are different time zones and online at different times though.

I guess we can all discuss or choose randomly?

message 11: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments I have a feeling I'll be a bad guesser, got the reading the books part down ok but figuring out puzzles.... who knows. LOL

Hangman gets updated quite a few times in the day, so people who usually guessed the title would be around long enough to pick another number. If they weren't then it would just be picked by the first person in the team to be around. (Some teams would discuss it first every time, but it would take a lot longer to pick one that way, especially when the numbers were dwindling.)

Thanks Abbie :)

Makes sense to just pick one so we'd have the next to be working on.

Yep, it's a pretty fast paced game, so as soon as you can get a new title up, the better. :)

Here's last years team threads if you want to have a look - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

message 16: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments Ok, looking at those... yep, I'll be a terrible guesser but I'll do my best. LOL

Alley Kat (alleykat666) | 743 comments I took Anatomy and Physiology last year, so my appreciation for that sort of thing has grown. xD

message 20: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments At highschool I was obsessed with anatomy.
Actually I loved maths, chemistry and anatomy the 3subjects that everyone hated in my class :)

message 21: by Alley (new)

Alley Kat (alleykat666) | 743 comments I'm the same way! I'm all about math and science!

message 22: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Yaaay!!! *high fives*
I mean how can you hate it it's so interesting and fun!!!

message 23: by Alley (new)

Alley Kat (alleykat666) | 743 comments Right!? I plan on going to veterinary school. :)

message 24: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments That's really nice :) no I have graduated at architecture university, major - Interior Design :) I love art as well lol

message 25: by Alley (new)

Alley Kat (alleykat666) | 743 comments Yep! I wanna minor in art so I can still do it on the side. :) I'm a crafter right now. I don't have a part time job so I can focus on my grades, so I sell knitted and crocheted stuff to make money.

That's amazing, I am a freelancer designer. Since interior design is not so popular in Armenia it's hard to find job

message 27: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments Whatever number you guys want to start out with is fine with me and I figure the best way to do it from there would be whoever guesses the puzzle just post another number then so when they update we'll get new puzzles. Looking forward to starting this one tomorrow. :)

message 28: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I don't think there is a difference tbh, let's just choose randomly

message 29: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments Fine by me, just noticed other teams have already got theirs posted on the review threads so we probably should too.

message 30: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments there are 300 right? Let's choose 150 right in the middle lol

message 31: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments Or we could just go in order for whatever's available... such as if no one else has 1 use it, if it's picked move to the first available. Or heck start it at `150 and go up from there, doesn't really matter but an easy way to just have a number ready whenever we need one.

message 32: by Edit~A (new)

Iowa hasn't checked in yet... We should let mode know just in case :)
you choose the number I really do not care tbh, as long as e guess them all LOL

message 33: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments 150 is fine with me. :)

I noticed that. Hopefully they'll get checked in and active by the time it starts.

message 34: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I wrote Sarah she said she'll check. I asked also should we choose the number yet, I will let you know when she answers :)

message 35: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Ok so we have to choose number, and post it on the review thread, Abbie will post the boards later:)
That's what she said

message 36: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments Yes, others have already chosen and the available numbers is up to date with 150 available if you want to start with it.

message 37: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments can you tell me which numbers are not available, and I will draw the available ones, using random choosing sites?
So it would be fair

message 38: by Abi (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Edit~A wrote: "can you tell me which numbers are not available, and I will draw the available ones, using random choosing sites?

So far, the only ones not available are; 12, 13, 19, 25, 30, 113, 244.

message 43: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments Welcome Lowa :)

Edita - I'm fine with whatever you guys decide. As I said as far as I'm concerned with the numbers we could just go with the first available each time. The only thing I think is that whoever guesses should have one posted then so we don't have to wait for another puzzle so doing it that way would be really easy instead of trying to a random or if everyone wants to pick when they guess that is fine too, I'd just do whatever is available next if it's my guess. Don't really think the numbers will matter anyway. :)

message 44: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I chose 184 and Abbie gave us the puzzle already :)

message 45: by Edit~A (last edited Jul 31, 2016 10:50AM) (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments I am going to read Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis

so we can use A (T? not sure) U B & R

message 46: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments All the years that Wheel of Fortune has been on the air and occasionally seeing it I've learned you go for R, S, T, N, L, E, or As first. LOL

message 47: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments Well all of you should tell what you are planning to read first so we can choose which letters to choose

message 48: by Carrie (new)

Carrie (boombaby13) | 4239 comments Ummmm.... probably starting with these... Elemental Secrets (The Essential Elements Book 1) by Elle Middaugh Midnight Angel (The Council Book 1) by Tracey A. Wood The Quantum Cop by Lesley L. Smith All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood or Sugar Rush (Sugar Bowl, #2) by Sawyer Bennett

Pretty quick reader so sometimes can do 2 or more a day. I'll use whichever or those letters above we need when I'm done with one. Like with Elemental Secrets I could use the E maybe.

Anyone have any guesses already with the puzzle we were given that might have a letter we should try?

message 49: by Edit~A (new)

Edit~A (edit-a) | 4259 comments We can use authors initials as well so please write down them if it's not hard :)
So we can choose as many letters as possible and don't choose the same twice or more

message 50: by Alley (new)

Alley Kat (alleykat666) | 743 comments A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin will be my first read of the month. I plan to knock it out pretty quick, but I might finish The Sword of Summer (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, #1) by Rick Riordan and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K. Rowling first. All three of these are buddies too. :)
