Ways to earn points:

• For every book read, you and your team will earn one point.

• For every buddy read you participate in, you and your team will earn one point.

• For every title or quote guessed correctly, your team will earn 4 points.

Rules:

All titles used are classed as YA books.

• Books must be read from the 1st of August to the 31st of August 2016.

• Books must be at least 100 pages in length, 150 pages for middle grade books, and 300 pages for poetry books/books written in verse.

• Buddy read must take place in our group to count.

• Letters guessed have to be the first letter in the book title / author's name to count, unless it's a bonus guess (from taking part in a buddy read for the book you read and reviewed.)

• Letter guesses have to be based on the English title. (However, you can still read the book in any language you like.)

• Your team have to read at least 1 book before making a guess, and you only get one guess per book read.

I'm reading a book (plan to be done today) that we have the choice of:
A, V or S but it looks like you have all those letters in your above books too.

I'm okay with playing this first round without a strategy until we start getting some letters filled in

I have the Princess Diaries read and reviewed, I'll have Matched, Hereafter, Airhead and maybe Harry Potter 7 finished today

I went ahead and picked our next number, I hope that's okay, 4 is my lucky number so!

My kids started school today so it's been a busy one of running around - but I"m finally sitting down to read for the night

Hi team! I'm so sorry for the lack of communication from my end! RL has been particularly hard on me these days. I have been trying, but I can't bring myself to read for the past one week. I have finished only one book this month. Still have to write the review, though. Will do that this weekend. On the bright side, I'm currently reading three books and I'm close to finishing all of them.

Btw great job, guys! We're earning so many points! I'll try and contribute, too!

Reading slumps (and stressful real lives) are the hardest to shake off. Just be well. Reading and games should be fun. :)

Just wanted to check in and see how everyone is doing! How are you guys?
As of yesterday, we're half way through the challenge!

This reading slump is really getting to me :( ive started a few books but cant seem to finish any :(

awe Siobhan, that sounds frustrating. I'm so sorry, reading slumps are the worst!

You might try some short novellas for your favorite series or maybe a book in verse? I know these seem to help me shake it off....

but I know they are awful. I hope it gets better soon!

I avoided the internet and got my mojo back :) i took some advice and re read a book i loved and that helped :) i will have reviews posted tonight or tomorrow for 2 books at least im on a 3rd now and almost done
