I remembered about (view spoiler) but I didn't think that meant all of B4.

Nice quote. The one downside to doing the audio is you can't go back and cross reference the start of the chapter comments and quotes which do add up to a lot of information.

I listened to the audiobooks as well actually... luckily Sanderson has a big fanbase...

Those links contain every epigraph from the 2 books... they are a goldmine of information...
You can literally SEE the Death Rattles coming to pass:
“They come from the pit, two dead men, a heart in their hands, and I know that I have seen true glory.” Kakashah 1173, 13 seconds pre-death. A rickshaw puller. -- Way of Kings, Chapter 64
Words of Radiance: Kaladin and Shallan returning from the chasms after the storm with the gemheart and the gloryspren that appear...

I think the letter in full context are even more telling. I had pieced together a lot of their meaning but reading the correspondence in full was very enlightening.

Some people have been re-reading over the last few months... others (like me) just read them for the first time over the past few months... not sure how I'll survive waiting for book 4 in 2020-ish...
Sounds like you joined the right group...

For Oathbringer, I pre-ordered a signed hardcover, an ebook and the audiobook. I may have gone a bit overboard, lol. ;)

It was the first time for me too:) And I joined the army of devoted fans:):):)

I am glad you joined us, Choko. :)
I just listened to Edgedancer for the first time yesterday and today... the last step in my Oathbringer prep...
I find Lift equal parts annoying and hilarious... so much happened in what was a "novella"... didn't seem very skippable...

I can only handle Lift in small segments. I hope if she gets a major part in one of the main books, and per BS it appears she will, I hope her character matures a little. I don't think I can hack 1200 pages of her dietary novelties and calling everybody a voidbringer. I do admit her messing with Dalinar, Kaladin, Adolin.....or somebody else who takes themselves seriously could be pretty funny. I think Jasnah might kill her just to shut her up.

A lot of us are waiting. We enjoy the experience of just opening a new book for the first time..and just diving in from the beginning. Something of a let down if I get a book and then I"m going 1/3 into it already.

I keep refreshing Audible hoping I can download it early.

I totally would have gone that direction for both had the choice been available.

Absolutely.
I stopped by a local B&N store today because sometimes they put out a book a day early so I was hoping maybe I'd see Oathbringer on the shelf. No such luck.

I think it's 12am in your timezone, regardless... maybe some leeway for your country instead of yourself... should have bought it on Amazon.au or whatever they're website is :)

"Length: 55 hrs and 2 mins"
Maybe wikipedia is right and this IS 450k words... how are they gonna make a paperback edition if the Hardcover is 1250 pages...

Isn't the UK and some other countries already splitting the Hardcover in 2 because of binding issues?
