Pearl Kirkby | 8 comments I would like to relate a funereal poem/sermon topic, "Death is Nothing" by Henry Scott Holland, in its entirety in my novel-in-progress, Folded Dreams (with appropriate back-matter citation , of course).

I can't seem to find copyright rules (US) re: citing full text with regards to a work from 1910. I seem to recall a 75 year, post-death limitation on non-updated copyrights (or was that for patents?).

So, does anyone know about the legalities of reproducing full texts from 1910, or where I might find swift answers? I'm rather stuck in two places regarding copyright laws on specific subjects.

Thanks...Pearl

You'll have to do some research to see if its copyright has been renewed, since it was from 1910. http://www.copyright.gov/records/
