Ashley (anicholsb) Let us know what you've been reading in other book groups or the progress you're making on that "to read" pile I know you all have. These books don't need to be NYC bestsellers! Feel free to attach links to your book reviews and take advantage of the spoilers html if you need it.

Barbara Gilbert | 21 comments I just finished What Alice Forgot. I believe Jennifer Aniston is going to be playing the part of Alice. My review can be found at this address: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

So now I'm definitely going to have to read this. Too many people have told me they enjoyed it for me to ignore (and I love Jennifer Aniston)! It sounds kind of like The Vow but not quite as Nicholas Sparks. What do you think? Any comparison?

Barbara Gilbert | 21 comments Okay. I have another book to read. I have not read The Vow.

Ashley (anicholsb) There's still some time left in the month so I'm going to try to cram another book into August, but I spent a lot of time in the hammock this month catching up on some past challenges. This is what I read:

- Village Affairs
- After the Funeral
- When Breath Becomes Air (I couldn't wait!)
- The Mystery of the Spanish Shawl: A Short Story
- Fahrenheit 451 (for another book group)
- The City of Ember (To make up for the dystopian challenge I missed earlier in the year)
- The Diamond of Darkhold (because I really enjoyed The City of Ember)
- Grunt (For this book group)
- The Last Book in the Universe (I got this for the dystopian challenge and it was great)
- The Boys in the Boat (late for this book group)
- The Princess Bride
- Me Before You (for this book group)
- Winter's Bone
- The Wright Brothers (late for this book group)
- Spook: Science Tackles the Afterlife (because I loved Grunt: The Curious Science of Humans at War)

UPDATED: Just finished Missing, Presumed and I think that will be my last book of August.

ANOTHER UPDATE: Finished Bridget Jones's Diary today and now can't write pronouns. Very annoying but a good quick read. Am thinking that there are no books on hand which could be read in 24 hours so that's really it for August.
