Matthew Rotundo | 42 comments So, has anyone else seen this documentary about Alejandro Jodorowsky's attempt to adapt Dune in the early 70's? Fascinating stuff. Jodorowsky was definitely cracked, and I'm not sure if I would have liked his adaptation, but . . . wow.

You really should see it.


Trike | 777 comments It's brilliant in the way madmen often are. The things he put his son through... incredible. But also the fact that ripples were felt throughout sci-fi movies for a generation afterward is amazing.

For all of that, his son did seem to turn out OK. But yeah, that was something.

It is impressive to see how a movie that was never made had such an influence on movies that followed it.
