Jodi Picoult Books Reading Group. discussion

I just had to share that I managed to get my hands on Jodi's new book today! My husband works for a publisher's and managed to get me a copy. Does anyone else think it seems heavier than her other books?

I don't really think it is heavier--I think it just seems that way because of the way race relations seem to be headed in this country. But then Jodi always seems to pick the controversial topics to write about. I thought it was a great book--very thought provoking. I thought the way the skinheads were portrayed was a bit extreme, but I don't have any experience with that so maybe I'm just naive.

Can't wait to read it! Haven't been really excited by one of her books since The Storyteller!

I can't wait to read this! I wonder why the past couple of books have had so many delays. Both this one and Leaving Time were delayed before they came out.

Totally agree with you. I did not read the last two because they did not interest me in the least. I am looking forward to this one!

I just got Small Great Things in the mail today. I am unbelievably excited to start it

I'm going to read it as soon as I'm done with The Lunar Chronicles

My school librarian lent me the school's new copy before it went on the new books shelf. Hope to start it tonight!

I finally just ordered my copy online! So excited for it to come!
