There is a YA book of the month every month, and if you look through the YA nominations and previous YA BOM, it might give you some more ideas of what else to read.

These Violent Delights (Robin) | 4 comments I totally recommend The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken! I just adored that book, I am currently reading the 2nd book in that trilogy.

It has a dark theme, but it is written beautifully. Plus it is a YA Dystopian trilogy, so who could pass that up lol!

Beth Roberts | 36 comments Aaron - I loved Joyland! Hadn't read any Stephen King for a very long time and picked this one up. Thought it was one of his best.

I just finished Night Film by Marisha Pessl yesterday and loved it. Still thinking about it.

Sarah | 3273 comments The Boys in the Boat Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown , Unbroken A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt - haha, none of these are YA fiction - but really amazing stories. The Goldfinch is the latest Pulitzer Winner for fiction, very well written. Unbroken is to be released in theaters on Christmas.

MJ Codename: ♕Duchess♕ (heyitsthemj) I can't remember the name of the author, but the books are called In the After and In the End. They're alright. Dystopian with a pretty decent twist. I prefer them over The Hunger Games.

They're not young adult, but if you want an amazing urban fantasy series: Kim Harrison's The Hollows books cannot be beat. Nor can Jim Butcher's Dresden Files.

The Hollows is about a witch named Rachel who ends up getting into a whole mess of things. Her roommate is a vampire, she ends up being attached to a demon, discovers the last few members of a species that was supposed to be long dead. I love this series so much. I just don't know how to explain it without giving a lot away. There's 13 books and some short stories.

Her YA trilogy is pretty cute too.

And The Dresden Files is about a wizard named Harry (and let me strongly stress these books starting coming out before Harry Potter. I'm obsessed with these books..then again, I'm pretty obsessed with Jim Butcher..so yeah.

MJ Codename: ♕Duchess♕ (heyitsthemj) The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley
