10.3 - 3 X 3
Read a book that has a three word TITLE that consists of a list of exactly three different words that are all the same part of speech: three nouns, three verbs, three pronouns, etc. Dictionary.com will be used to determine a part of speech. Subtitles should be ignored.
Yours Mine Ours
Eat, Pray, Love
Blood Salt Water

Would this work for 3 nouns?

message 6: by Donna (new)

Donna | 1271 comments My daughter scoured our overdrive database and found 5 that would work, so I'm sharing those, but I'm seeking approval for the first one.

1. Ice Like Fire
according to dictionary.com the word "like" is also a noun

2. Half Moon Hill

3. Eat Slay Love

4. Zombie Spaceship Wasteland

5. Candy Corn Murder

Those may be seen as 3 nouns, but they are not a list of words.

Eat Slay Love and Zombie Spaceship Wasteland work as a list. The others may be words that can be the same part of speech, but they are not a list of words.

If this doesn't work, could I put down 'Eat, Pray, Love' as my book for the category? Not sure if you can use the examples given in the task threads. Thank you again.

You may use any book listed as an example.

It would if it was not 25 pages.

Coralie Would Only Ever Always work? They are all adverbs and don't make much sense together except as a list.

message 20: by Pamela (new)

Pamela (pamela3265) | 952 comments I think I understand this now. Do symbols count in the word count? The books on my list that come close to fitting all throw an "and" before the last item in the list. Faithful, Fit & Fabulous: Get Back to Basics and Transform Your Life - in just 8 Weeks is the closest I've found so far. Does the & count?

Thanks! This task is harder than it appears.

Thanks, i saw you accepted Only Ever Always where Only Ever is an expression and the author treats "Only Ever Always" as a phrase in their author notes and not a random list so thought this may be accepted. Back to the drawing board :)

Terri FL (territhemuse) | 615 comments I found 2 on my to-read list that I wanted to check on.

First is Memories, Dreams, Reflections by C.G. Jung. This seems like it should work, but, I just want to verify.

Second is City Sister Silver by Jáchym Topol. As this was translated from Czech, (and the original Czech title was just Sister) it was a bit difficult to see if this was a list or a phrase, but, from reading a Bookslut review, it seems like it represents sections of the books, so, it feels like a list to me. http://www.bookslut.com/fiction/2004_...
