I'm Sassafrass and I always have an audiobook going on my iPhone at all times so that I can listen while shuttling my kids around (while they listen to "their music") or going back and forth to work, or doing housework, or just doing just about anything!
I listen to pretty much everything on audio but since I'm a romance fanatic, I listen to mostly romance.
I look forward getting active in the group!
Welcome Sassafrass! I see you've discovered the joys of "unproductive" time! I don't know what I'd do without my audiobooks:) Glad you decided to join us and we look forward to your sharing your listening experiences.

Looking forward to being part of the group!

Hi Carolyn! So glad you joined. I love love love your narrations! Thank you!

You are a tremendous listener and supporter of my work - lovely to be appreciated and hope there's one or two more like you out there!! Thank you so much.

I too am a fan of your narrations. I have Maya Rodale's Writing Girls series in my library.

Laura" that's fantastic to hear - thanks Laura!

Basically I'd never get a lick of housework or gardening done without audiobooks. I suppose I must have something more interesting than a vacuum cleaner to occupy my mind :) I also hate to drive, so always have an audiobook on in my car.
Currently I'm hooked on the fabulously narrated (by Robert Petkoff) Immortals After Dark series. I'm getting down to the last few hours of book #11. I've also enjoyed various others. One notable fav is Loretta Chase's Scoundrel series as narrated by the equally fabulous Kate Reading.
Welcome KatieV! Glad you found us and you're among a whole lot of Robert Petkoff fans here.
Like ooking forward to following your listening experiences.

Thanks. Robert Petkoff is amazing, isn't he? It's sometimes hard to believe it's one person doing all those different voices and accents.

I have many favorite narrators and I'm always looking for my next great audio read. I'm currently reading The Chief narrated by Robert McNab, this is my first read with this narrator and he's very good...
Hi Dorsey! Good to see you here. Love the Highland Guard series and am listening to The Striker next month.

Hi Jonetta!! I'm completely hooked, Robert McNab's voice is fantastic!! I haven't checked to see if he narrates the entire series, im hoping he does.

Very good Samantha.

Looks like it's a different narrator, Antony Ferguson.

Hmmmm....He's good too but I'm loving this one so that's a bit disappointing, thanks for checking. I'll still continue with the series on audio

My name is Kelly and I'm an audiobookaholic. My first introduction to audiobooks was decades ago but I became addicted quickly. I was able to slow it down for a while but recently I began driving longer distances and my current daughter hates cool music and just listens to her headphones so I was free to start listening to what I wanted. I've quickly plunged into overindulgence again.
I actually hadn't listened to much romance on audio before because I only read gay romance because most of the M/F romance I've read (which I admit is very little) is eventually sexist and I have a huge problem with that. I didn't know M/M romance was available in audio until recently and then I didn't know if it was any good.
Now I'm waiting to get a new stereo installed in my car that has an auxilliary jack so I can listen to my MP3 books but until then it's CDs. I was desperately searching at the library for an audiobook a few days ago. I mostly listen to thrillers in the car and I found a book that was listed as suspense and it had a dog as a major character so I went for it. It turned out to be M/F romantic suspense and I really liked it because it was fairly egalitarian. (The Betrayed by Heather Graham) I tried a couple more books but the narrators were horrible. (One sounded like everything she was saying was an afterthought she was saying to herself. It was so weird.)
So now I'm desperately looking for recommendations from people and I just happened upon a post where someone linked to this group. I am so excited to find you all! I'm sure you can correct all my misconceptions about M/F romance and steer me toward romantic suspense with all kinds of lovers. I can't wait for you to enable my addiction!
Welcome to the group, Kelly! Glad you found your way here.
I recommend you take a look through our Recommendation Give & Take folder for some ideas. And, you should repost your inquiry there so members can maybe provide some fresh ideas that can be shared and referenced ongoing.
Enjoy!

Molly Harper - I have listened to all books she has on Audio. I love the voice of Amanda Ronconi
Tate Hallaway - books narrated by Amanda Ronconi
Christine Feehan
Donna Kauffman
Robyn Peterman
Nana Malone
Kresley Cole
Debora Geary
Laurann Dohner
Lolita Lopez
Evangeline Anderson
Katie MacAlister
Eve Langlais
A. M. Griffin
Kristen Painter

A few of my favourite narrators - Kate Rudd, Karen White, Amanda Ronconi, Callie Dalton, Jorjeana Marie, MacLeod Andrews, Zachary Webber, Will Damron, Luke Daniels, Nick Podehl, Amy McFadden, Phoebe Strole, Brandon Espinoza, Ben Yannette, Cassandra Campbell . . .
I could keep going but it does get a little ridiculous. There are narrators I can't stand, too - I'll DNF a book in a hurry if I don't like the narrator. Likewise, I'll pick up a book I'd never otherwise read because I love that narrator.
I do have a YouTube channel where I talk about the audiobooks I read. It's Today in Jen's Library - I have a lot of fun with it. My evil plan is to get everyone listening! : )

It took me years to appreciate audiobooks. I am a bit picky about my fiction narrators. And since I favor romance novels, if the hero doesn't sound just right I can't seem to immerse myself and I struggle to listen.
Once I realized I prefer male narrators for romance novels and expanded my sub genre preferences (i.e. paranormal) I got hooked.
Hi All! I'm relatively new to GR and happy to find this group today. I love, love, love audiobooks. So nice that I can "read" while doing chores and driving. Looking forward to finding new stories to enjoy here.
