6 at second-hand bookstore when I was on holiday in Canada. The book were so cheap in comparison with the price that I normally had to pay.
My records:Online bookstore: 12 books in one cart.
E-book: 6 ebooks in a day (I can say it is still under control)
Bookstore, normal price: 5 books
Bookstore, heavy discount/closing sale: 15 kg of books (I lost count of the number of books)
In one go, I bought 4 books. That may not seem like a lot, but I had just decided to get back into reading and i walked in Barnes & Noble intending to get 1 book and ended up with four. I bought The Other Wes Moore, Just Mercy, Redeployment, and Violent Ends.
I can say mine officially upgraded to 29 e-books one go!
9 on Book Outlet but that's because of their Boxing Day sale
I got 250 books all in one go . One day, my dad took me to a bookstore of his friend's. It was really unplanned and a big surprise to me because he always got mad when I kept spending money for food on books . That day was the most magical day of my life and since then , I've been married to books and we're never getting divorced !
About 100 to 200. When I order from Bookoutlet I usually order during a sale and have gotten as much as 100 books at a time. Also, when there are Kindle/Kobo sales and I can't help myself lol.
Glad to read I am not the only book buying addict around here. I take advantage of my library sales and have come home with ten books from them. I splurge on Amazon by asking family members for gift cards for my kindle maybe bought five books at a time once.
Last time I properly went into a charity shop, I came out with 27 books. Still haven't read a single one. Whoops.
I think 11 books? It was a yard sale so all the books were dirt cheap.
Around 6 I believe. Whenever I go to my local used bookstore I get a lot of books

I've officially beaten my old one of whatever it was. My mom bought me 12 books at thrift stores, which is the most I've ever gotten.
7 books in an actual bookshop but about 15 in two days. I usually only get physical books when I travel because there are only two small bookshops where I live.
Around 50 books from a library book sale. It was a $5/bag day, and I managed to somehow fit them all in two bags.
1/2 price book store ... 12 for me, 15 for wife, 10 for kiddo ... it was a good day ;-)
I only buy lots of books on bookfairs since it's a bit expensive where I live except for second-hands and the most I bought was 12 I guess but for the next bookfair, I left a good amount of money at side and with that, I know I'll get + 20 if not way more ^^

almost 20 in total at a close out event at a book store that went out of business and it was a stuff a bag sale.

If you count book sales then probably close to 100. I bought several large boxes of books one year when my library had it's annual big book sale. :)

When I was a teen and would go to the House of Speculative Fiction for a book run, I often picked up 20+ books in a single go. But with school book sales and library book sales, I have been known to top that. I think the very biggest would have been a library sale that had a ton of older Canadian fiction and signed editions. I came home with over 70 books that time. How can you go wrong when a signed first edition of Findley's Headhunter is only $2?!
this year, it was the book fair. I brought 10 books I don't remember all tof them of I got Catch-22, The time travler's Wife, Mahmoud Darwich, Jane Austen, Nicci French.... It was one of the happiest days of my life...
Once my friend brought me a whole suitcase full of books. I don't remember exactly how many, but 15 or more. I guess it's not much compared to 51!
If I knew how to post a picture I would. I was so excited. I try to hit the goodwill stores about every 2 weeks. I happen to hit the jackpot while visiting my bff out of town.
There was just a paperback sale at that one bookstore. Bought 12 books yesterday - I actually left the office to get something to eat - and bought another 6 today
In a bookstore? Around 30-40. Had to make a few trips back into the store to grab the boxes haha but online, I know I've easily bought around 20-25 at one time, it gets bad when you're on there and I try to stop....
At a new-books bookstore, maybe 10 or 12 at a go. At a used bookstore, well, that's different. I have come out of King's in Detroit with 40 or 50, I'm not sure of the number, but so many a friend had to help me carry them. Next time, I'm bringing a wheelbarrow.
Two grocery bags filled to the absolute top for a fill a bag for $2 sale. I made sure to get the most bang for my buck.My current record for paying retail remains the same: 1 (I bought the Harry Potter books as soon as they came out, which I now regret, not because I could have saved money, but because I ensured that some money went right into the pockets of the horrible woman who wrote them).
