Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I have 1 hr 30 min for the audiobook completed.

message 103: by Ira (new)

Ira | 361 comments I am currently reading Blood rites by Jim Butcher that can count towards B2

message 104: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) My 2 hours of reading outside is complete.

message 105: by Deb (new)

Deb | 372 comments Can the children's book I read be counted for B1? White Fur Flying. I started and read it all in one sitting during the readathon.

message 106: by Deb (new)

Deb | 372 comments Still working on finishing Anna Karenina for B2

message 107: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) I completed my 5 hours of audiobook time today

message 108: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) I also have four other books that I have completed since the read-a-thon started but I am only down for one. Perhaps one of those could finish up B1?

message 109: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) ohh. we almost have n3 complete. Come Aglaea I know you can recommend something good!

Don't forget to add a book to the map team, we only need one of those to cross that square off.

message 110: by Erica (new)

Erica | 555 comments Do we still need a red book? I'm reading The Assistants which is red and it's a quick read so should be done tomorrow.

message 111: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I think we do Erica

message 112: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) She said she had a couple partially red covers but wants a completely red cover

message 113: by Brianna (last edited Aug 26, 2016 07:05PM) (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments We are all done with audiobook hours! Thank you for those who listened to them!

Debra→ I have that counted towards B1 already. :)

Amy→ We can definitely add another book towards B1 for you. Of the other books finished, which would you like to count (started & finished during read-a-thon)?

We have also finished our second BINGO! 4's all the way across!

still needed
B3→ 2 books read for the AtY Challenge (a few of us are reading books that could count)
I5→ a mystery or thriller (one or two in progress)
N3→ book recommendation from Aglaea
O5→ add 1 book to the AtY Reading Map (1 per member)

I5 & O5 cannot be combined

message 114: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) You can use El Deafo, I think that was my longest one read during this week. :-)

message 115: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments Amy wrote: "You can use El Deafo, I think that was my longest one read during this week. :-)"

Got it added! :)

message 116: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Brown | 371 comments I read outside today for an hour and 24 minutes.

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments Kelly wrote: "I read outside today for an hour and 24 minutes."

Updated! Thank you!

message 118: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) I think unless you need a mystery/thriller back-up, I think I am done. I Am the Cheese is considered a thriller and I plan to finish that so if you need a back-up, you will have that. There doesn't seem to be anything else that I can work on:

B1 I have done
B3 I can't do
I5 I am the Cheese
N2 I have done
N3 obviously I can't do
O5 I can't do

message 119: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments We can count I Am the Cheese towards I5 and I can switch my mystery (Confessions of a Murder Suspect) to O5 if you want.

message 120: by Susan (new)

Susan I read for an hour outside this week in total, so far. I'm not sure if you saw my post about it. I just wanted to make sure.

message 121: by Brianna (new)

Oh snap, I didn't! Thanks for pointing that out and sorry! I'll get that fixed. lol

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments And with that we have our 3rd BINGO!

2's all the way across!

still needed
B3→ 1 book read for the AtY Challenge (a few of us are reading books that could count)
N3→ book recommendation from Aglaea
O5→ add 1 book to the AtY Reading Map (one currently in progress)

message 123: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I have read Witch Born for B3.

If we need a mystery I can do that one, just let me know.

message 124: by °~Amy~° (last edited Aug 26, 2016 08:41PM) (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) I am the cheese is complete for I5. :-)

message 125: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) Woohoo!

Only a few left team! Let's get this done:)

message 126: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) Perhaps someone could send Aglaea a message? I know she has been on the boards posting. Perhaps she isn't participating or checking this board any longer? Just a thought since we need her specifically for the one square.

message 127: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 539 comments So I started and finished Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet during the read-a-thon. I used it for N4 but they are different color stars, so we can count it for B3 I don't think I have submitted a book for the square yet?

message 128: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments Sarah-was it for the Around the Year challenges? (one of the weekly prompts)

message 129: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments Amy- Last update we got from her was that she was dealing with a migraine. I haven't seen her update anything else since so she may still be dealing with it.

message 130: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 539 comments Brianna wrote: "Sarah-was it for the Around the Year challenges? (one of the weekly prompts)"

Oh sorry I should have put that in, lol. I used it for week 13 Readers choice!

message 131: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 539 comments Oh sorry guys it looks like I already added a book to B3 near the beginning of the read-a-thon. I looked back and I submitted My Lady Jane so it looks like I can't help out with the another one for this spot.

message 132: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments Oh yeah, lol I keep forgetting certain topics are 1 per member each. Oops!

message 133: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Brown | 371 comments I added Night and Day to the map!! It is for the ATY too, but I am already taking a spot.

message 134: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) Brianna wrote: "Amy- Last update we got from her was that she was dealing with a migraine. I haven't seen her update anything else since so she may still be dealing with it."

Oh poor girl! I have migraines so bad they cause seizures so I feel for her! I hope she heals up quickly for her own sake!

message 135: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) Oh, I hope she's ok. Migraines are the worst! I got them all the time with my first pregnancy but couldn't take anything that actually helps with them.

message 136: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I really like this team bingo thing. Makes it so much more fun, but if we do it for the next readathon I think it should be a little more difficult.

Kelly Brown | 371 comments Jennifer wrote: "I really like this team bingo thing. Makes it so much more fun, but if we do it for the next readathon I think it should be a little more difficult."

Either that or make smaller groups so it isn't as easy to cover the board.

I think easy is part of the plan. The mods don't want us stressing out on what is supposed to be a fun week. :-)

message 139: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) I know that the easy part made it fun for me. The complaints now about it being too easy make it much less fun. :-(

message 140: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments I personally thought it was the right level of difficulty. There were some really easy tasks and some that weren't so easy. I think there was a good balance...

B3→ 1 book for the ATY challenge
(Brianna - Confessions of a Murder Suspect) *
(Ira - Blood Rites) *
(Debra - Anna Karenina) *

I1→ complete every read-a-thon game (which we've all been doing really good at-just one or two more!)

N3→ recommend a book to the team [need one from Aglaea]

* = currently reading

message 142: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Brown | 371 comments I agree with the level of difficulty, but I feel like faster readers kinda took up the spots quicker. I loved the group setting. It made it so much more fun for me. But I can honestly say once we had most things accomplished, or at least things I can not help with, I lost steam.

message 143: by Deb (new)

Deb | 372 comments I've got 100 pages of Anna Karenina left. I'm reading this evening and will be able to finish tomorrow.

I know what you mean about the faster readers taking up more squares. I think I did one book for B1 and the page count, but that was it. I think part of that could have been part of the planning-like once someone said they would read a book for that topic, it was reserved. If anyone finished something else quicker, it could have become a back up in case the first person wasn't able to finish.

message 145: by °~Amy~° (new)

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) Wow. A thank you for the fast readers for helping get it done so we could all have pride in a goal finished would be nice. This fast reader is done with group projects.

Thank you to the mods for trying to put a fun week together.

message 146: by Brianna (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments Amy- I sent you message that I hope you read. I know I appreciate everything that you did for this group. You helped us complete many topics that without you we may not have been able.

Thank you to everyone in this group in general for all the reading you were able to do! We have one day left to knock out more pages/books and hopefully the last couple topics!

message 147: by Kelly (new)

Kelly Brown | 371 comments Brianna- I again thank you for all you have done. I appreciate the time and effort you have extended to keep everyone on track. I tried sending you a message, but it didn't work, so I sent you a friend request.

Thank you to everyone for letting me take part!

message 148: by Brianna (last edited Aug 28, 2016 12:42AM) (new)

Brianna (bebecburt) | 546 comments I finished a book for the AtY Challenge so all that's left is a recommendation from Aglaea and to make sure we participate in any remaining games! That means our last day of the read-a-thon we can focus on finishing up books and getting the last bit of reading in that we can! Go team go!

message 149: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) Oh geesh, I didn't mean to start an issue. I just thought maybe make some of the squares a little more difficult, like more pages read or books completed or something so they square wasn't checked off in the first couple days.

I am sorry if I upset anyone.

message 150: by Brianna (new)

You're fine, Jennifer! It really shouldn't have been an issue with what we were discussing...
