Sumner C Period discussion

“Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.” When reading this quote I never realized how ironic it was because this book is that book for me. While reading this book it was so, earth shattering and I feel like really good books do that. I feel like book have this ability to shake our world and make us just feel alive or sad or happy. I think humans that are of the same soul love books and they understand them. I think books connect us somehow with the people around us. I think this is what john green was trying to do. I think we wanted to write an earth-shattering book that would ultimately rally a generation together.
