I just put in an Amazon pre-order for Peter Swanson's new book Her Every Fear. Release date is Jan. 2017.

Peter says both of his previous books have been optioned for film.

Hi all! It's been a long time since I've visited, but I just got back from NOLA and having a wonderful time with Carol. I got Peter's latest book and I'm half way through right now. It is so good. I really want to savor it! I really liked his first 2 as well. I think he's really got a good thing going (and I met him through Carol and he's super nice!!). Hope you all get a chance to enjoy this book!

i agree about him being super nice. i met him a few years ago at a book signing with carol. saw him again this week at a book trade show and when i went to introduce myself, he looked at me and said i remember you, sherry. totally surprised me. looking forward to reading his new book.

Good to see you on he board. I bet Bouchercon was really fun this year in New Orleans. I still need to read the first book The Girl with a Clock for a Heart.

Jan, so glad you popped in. We did have fun in NOLA, didn't we? Lots of good panels and some tremendous eating. Will report more later when I recover from my return to work.

We did miss our GR buds, though, and had fun reminiscing about previous B-cons. Hope to see some of you next year in Toronto! I am going to register just as soon as I make sure I don't have a work Board meeting that week. October 12 - 15.

P.S. I also picked up a copy of the galley for Her Every Fear at B-con, although I can't get to it quite yet. Great title, though, and am glad you are enjoying it, Jan!

Yikes! I went over to check my to read shelf and Her Every Fear is number 1,000 on that shelf!

Meant to add that Louise Penny is the Canadian Guest of Honor at B-con 2017, and that on the B-con website you can request a free copy of her PDF of recipes of meals mentioned in the books, I think there are two from each book.

And one more B-con post. It's $175 to register between now and 12/31/16, then the price goes up to $195.

Louise Penny's beloved husband Doctor Michael Whitehead passed away this past week. I am currently reading and loving the latest Three Pines book.

Oh so sad. She has lovingly recounted their challenges with his Alzheimers over the last few years.

Peter's books is offically released this coming Tuesday, January 10. My Amazon pre-order is on its way (although I already have an advanced readers copy I got from Bouchercon). I am going to his first reading for this book on Tuesday.

How exciting Carol:
It is always fun to hear an author talk about a book of theirs you (and we as the group read in March) plan to read. Hopefully no spoilers!

Peter's next book is All the Beautiful Lies to be released on April 3, 2018.

Looks like we have a group read book to line up for next spring now!

Not about All the Beautiful Lies, but I think those of us who read The Kind Worth Killing agreed itwould make a great movie. Exciting!
