Which fantasy character would you like to be?

Well there's which one would you want to be.........Gandalf, Hadrian, etc.
Then there's the ones whose personalities and physical gifts fit. As much as we would all like to be the sword master, archer who can hit shit at unreal yardage etc it's probably not likely.
Although physically I could fit the warrior mold the characters I most think of myself of are ironically all twins with a sense of humor. I'm just missing the twin part. But I love Fred and George from Harry Potter. Love and Sanza brothers from Locke Lamora and even love Oponn the push and pull twins of luck in Malazan. It's no secret I love my humor with my fantasy. As well as Blood Song and Tower Lord were written they had to have been two of the most humor free books I've ever read so I didn't enjoy them.
BTW I SUCK at archery. I don't have the eyesight for it nor the patience or steady hand. I've never learned anything about fencing or sword play but I doubt I'd be good at it. Although a good athlete I don't possess great quickness or balance which intuitively I think you would need to be great over strength which I have.
Being a wizard wouldn't suck. :)
Matt from WOT would be an option except I'm too vain for his deal with the snakes and foxes (vague enough to avoid a spoiler). He's a rouge ass with a great sense of humor.

Ugh Scott I was just starting to get over the snakes and foxes deal. That is one of the things I cannot handle at work... Had an incident where I nearly passed out!
I would love to be a villain (Magneto from X-Men) dragon rider, or some kind of jaded warrior (ideally Serr Bronn of the Blackwater) but in real life I'm not in shape for that (sometimes have to use a cane and I'm only 30), and far too meek.
So realistically options I think would suit me involve the medical field since I already work in It, being a Warg or animal whisperer.. Basically something requiring a sharp mind. I really admire Tyrion Lannister, and the Maesters from the ASoIaF series, or Fitz from the Farseer trilogy with his Wit and connection to Nighteyes

Sorry! That was a great but nasty scene.

Brienne of Tarth, except for maybe all the disfiguring. I want to be a great sword fighter.
Always loved Mara from The Empire Trilogy Daughter of the Empire. So much political intrigue and the ability to keep your wits about yourself to stay alive.

They were. How much do you attribute that to Sanderson fixing some of Jordan's flaws? There were a lot less braid tugs and story lines that meandered in those last three.

He totally saved the series. It would've just kept going on and on. Yes book #10 was good but I think he would've had another Bowl of the Winds or "Faile is angry!" type plot and the wheel would just keep turning and turning
For me the worst part of the series and I don't remember which book it was, it seemed to span many, was when Elayne and Nynaeve were with Valan Luca's traveling show. Talk about something that served zero purpose to the story line and was boring as shit. I swear Jordan only did it to put a hot girl on a high wire.
It would be pretty cool to live in Middle Earth (despite the large absence of women) and I've been told I look like Legolas in the movies. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not (and I definitely don't see the resemblance). It seems that whenever I am compared to a fictional character, it is always a man so better to look like Legolas than Gimli, I suppose. No offence to Gimli - dwarves are awesome, but in appearance, Legolas has you beat, Master Dwarf.
We all have our favourite characters, but would you actually want to be them? Locke Lamora has about the worst luck in the world despite how clever he is, and everyone in ASOIAF and Malazan is doomed to die at some point. Not exactly characters you would want to be.
I haven't figured out my answer just yet, but does anyone else have any ideas on who they would want to be?
