1. Arsenic and old books.
2. Haven't thought of that one yet.
3. Ditto.
4. Ditto.
Okay, so I haven't put a lot of thought into it. I'll get back to you all.

Thanks for changing to banned book. Much more palatable.

Looking at the suggestions on the paper, it is open to all the interpretation you want.

Southern author: Serena by Ron Rash
Banned Book: The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck ( This might be ambitious but I LOVED East of Eden so am going to try it).
Hero: ???
Blue cover: Looking for Lovely by Annie F. Downs
Blue book: Eccentric Orbits: The Iridium Story
Southern author: The Violent Bear it Away
Still thinking about the banned book, and tragically there are no books on Michael Keaton, so I'll have to ruminate on the hero category as well.

Was birdman a book?
Just found the perfect hero book! The Movement: How I got this body by never going to the gym in my life.
It's the incredible true story of Jack Garbarino, a formerly self-proclaimed "tub of lard" who lost weight by simply moving household items. He even helps jungle children, and was inspired by a young child named Dandi, who unfortunately was kidnapped and eaten by baboons. I hope I don't cry while reading this!

Proof if exists doesn't equal proof that it's not made up ;)

How DARE you question this man's integrity! Do YOU volunteer to help jungle children?

Harry potter & the philosophers stone.

Google "Banned Books" for a Wikipedia list. Have a lovely day.

Finished yesterday.
BLUE COVER: Eccentric Orbits: The Iridium Story (Surprisingly entertaining book about the death and life of a satellite system. Bloom excels at deriving amusement from the absurdities in life.)
BANNED BOOK: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Only took 16 years to finish. I think the illustrated edition with the purdy pictures made it easier.)
HERO: Captain Marvel (Marvel NOW!) #1 (Generic comic graphic novel with some fun cameos by the Guardians of the Galaxy)
SOUTHERN AUTHOR: Bad Monkey (The "heroic" character is reprimanded for sodomizing a plastic surgeon with a common household appliance. I think I like Hiaasen.)

Banned book: Holes by Louis Sachar (Definitely an odd book. Can any of you YA folks tell me what the message is?)
Southern author: Double Strike by Gretchen Archer
Hero: The Unlikely Hero of Room 13B by Teresa Toten (This was great. About OCD, teen support groups, hoarding. Male protagonist. Would be great physical addition to our collection if we don't own it).
1. A Southern Author
2. We are changing book selected by anonymous participant to a banned book since banned book week is September 25-October 1
3. A book about a hero
4. a book with a blue cover
Hopefully, this month's choices will not be as challenging as last months were!
