Mission: Read a book where a pet is a major player in the story. It doesn't have to be a dog or a cat; if you've got a Finbulous Fish story, go for it.

Deadline: September 30.

Finboluos I love it! Probably goanna go for a Melanie Travis mystery. Canine companions galore there!

I'm thinking of reading Anyone But You for this.

Finished A Pedigree to Die for (Melanie Travis Mysteries, #1) by Laurien Berenson It was a good read, and rather interesting to see the workings of dog shows.

Martha (marthag503) I just finished The Dog Master: A Novel of the First Dog. I thought it was a pretty good story.

Sam F | 198 comments I just finished Crazy for You by Jennifer Crusie where the dog is the impetus for all kinds of change spiralling through the story. A light, mildly humourous, easy read!

Beth | 202 comments I read Assassination Classroom, an Octopus isn't exactly a pet though!
