Hi everyone! Looks like we got a fun but easy challenge this month. Although buddy reads will make a huge difference.

In addition to what Sarah said, you basically create a buddy read with another group member, or even just jump in on one already set up and read the book. You can start a few days before the date or up to about a week late if needed. If you leave at least 4 comments about the book (or what you think so far), including responding to others comments, you can claim it as a buddy read. And since each one double the points for this challenge, it is great!

For the challenge itself, just read. Books have to have started no earlier than the 1st in your time zone normally but for just this month if you previously started a book you can still count the pages you actually read this month. We have a review thread for our team in this folder (Team Mars). Post reviews there. There should be format example of what it should look like. For page count always check the "All editions" link where you see other covers of the book in the details area. Claim the highest count and link to it for your reviews. We can even claim other languages to get higher counts.

I'm Vanessa and I am 33 years old. I'm married and I have four children. I'm a huge nerd. I also love Harry Potter and Doctor Who! I love reading fantasy, science fiction, and comics, but I branch out to other genres as well.

We are wrapping up our first week of the challenge today! How is everyone doing on their reading? Vanessa, Brandi and Beety (Bayan) seem to be doing well so far. How is everyone else fairing?

I have a couple small reviews I hope to post later today plus I have 2 other books I am working on. One is going to take awhile but will be good on points sine it is over 600 pages.

Also, just another reminder to please check ALL EDITIONS of the book you read for the highest page count.. Thanks!

I sent one out just before the month began. And let Sarah know about Louise today. Usually give til about the 10th for those that have at least checked in (at least on a medium team-a serious I tend to be more aggressive). But this is also why I try to give a shout-out here to see if we get a progress response at least. :)

sorry work has been insane :) i am half way through a second book. i must check what people are buddy reading and try join in

Eh, life happens. My work can be a roller coaster. One week I can work more than it seems I can handle and other weeks I have lots of down time.

Was getting worried though since 1/2 our team was still down. You were my least concern since I know you've done challenges and been fine before. :)

I may post a bit all over the place but i do catch up :) i should have another book done tonight/tomorrow and i have 3 more ready to go

Fantasy is my favorite genre, but that one didn't fit my tastes I guess. I didn't even make it through book one.

I finished this book yesterday and I will be writing my review and posting it soon. I have started the next book in this series as well:

Haha, I am in the same boat. I am sure some things I might have to drop until a future month but I will get through what I can.
