One Last Kill by Robert Dugoni, #10 in his Tracy Crosswhite series is another good addition to the series, with Tracy still working on cold cases, being asked re-open a 25 year old serial killer case that was never solved by Seattle police.

Crime Thriller / Police Procedural

Overall, this book was suspenseful, riveting, fast-paced, and thought-provoking. This is heartbreaking and tough to read at times and has many trigger warnings. However, it was also well-written, memorable, and thought-provoking.

Urban Fantasy

Overall, this novel was engaging and entertaining with a vivid fantasy environment. The plot is layered and has plenty of twists and turns combined with suspense, tension, and action. It is more polished and the pacing is better than book one of the series.

It Waits in the Woods is reason enough not to venture down that way. Josh Malerman has added his creepy short story to Amazon's Creature Feature Collection.

Overall, this was an engrossing and entertaining novel with great characterization, plenty of action, and lots of family drama.

I finished Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano and loved it! Book 4 of the series is highly entertaining, hilarious and heartwarming pushing all the right buttons for fans of this series. 4 Stars My Review.

More of a survival story than a mystery or thriller ----
Difficult living conditions, fearful for her life and that of her son, and some unexpected resilience make for an interesting story, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations from the synopsis. However, it is gripping and compelling at times and I wanted to know how it would end.

I've read a couple of good (4-5star reads) cozies recently. Both of them a really nice combination of sweet, funny and a little scary. Just what I was looking to read for my Christmas reading binge.
