Police Procedural / Crime Novel / hint of a romance
Overall, this was intriguing, entertaining, suspenseful, and had an action-packed ending with compelling characters that kept me turning the pages.
I read Miss Morgan's Book Brigade by Janet Skeslien Charles It is historical fiction based on an actual group of women who volunteered to go to northern France in 1917. I recommend it. My 4 star review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I haven't read everything (yet) that much-loved Aussie author Garry Disher has written, but I can recommend everything I have, and his brand new standalone novel, Sanctuary, is right up there. Grace Latimer is a crook. Well, yes, but she has reasons - give her a break!
