PattyMacDotComma | 1244 comments Is there anyone whose mind John Boyne can't inhabit? In the 3rd book of his Elements Quartet, he gives us Freya, a talented burns specialist doctor, but a vengeful manipulator of the unwary. Fire is ironically chilling.

Donne | 63 comments I've come across some pretty good thrillers recently, like this creepy one by one of my fave authors, Kelley Armstrong.

I'll Be Waiting by Kelley Armstrong - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Then there is probably one of the best installments of the series where Munier ratched up the thrills and intensity.

Also, my wife read a book on her kindle reader that I have not read, but shows up on my list of read books, because she gave it 5 stars on her reader, linked to my GR account through Amazon. Her review of Under a Sunburnt Sky: An unforgettable story of heroism & love

Magical Realism, Romance
Overall, I enjoyed the entertaining and atmospheric story, but it wasn’t what I expected. However, the world-building was excellent and it was a nice change-of-pace read that was also thought-provoking. The exploration of relationships was well-done.
