GR allows users to use the ratings any way they wish and not just to rate books they have read

Some people buy several books by an author they don't know instead of trying out one title first.

Once earning them, I don't normally pay attention to my reviews but my friends alerted me to one reader, posting 1-star reviews, to all three of my books, on the same day, at the same time.
All professional authors expect any book, at any time, may receive a 1-star rating from any reader. It strains credulity to imagine that same reader would then be motivated to read another book by the same author and give it a 1-star rating. It breaks credulity to imagine that same reader would again be motivated to read another book by the same author and give it too a 1-star rating. The odds against this scenario shatter any benefit of the doubt.
It is disheartening to imagine all the hard work I put in to obtain solid reviews of my work can be so easily negated.
Nonetheless, if GR performs its due diligence and determines this individual is a member in good standing and posted the ratings in good faith, I will, however reluctantly, accept it.
