Char | 17459 comments I thought it might be helpful to have a place where people who are trying to locate certain books could post, to see if anyone here could provide the title.
For any that don't know, there is a group here on GR that helps with that, called What's the Name of That Book?

But since this sounds like a horror book, I thought I would post here. I'm posting this description on behalf of someone at Amazon who is looking for this book.

I would appreciate the title if anyone here recognizes it:

"Years ago a read a freaky thriller book. I don't remember author or title. It was set in upper Michigan, about a bad guy, possibly a funeral home employee that wore a ring with a sharp point that he filled with poison. The people after being stuck with this ring would be in a death like state. The people would then be buried alive with only a string attached to a bell that they could ring when they came out of their death like state as their only chance of rescue. I think the book was written in the 1970s. "

Thanks!

*Additionally, HA invites anyone here to post if you're looking for the title of a horror book. Just post whatever details you can remember and hopefully, someone will recognize it. Good luck!*

That sounds pretty cool. I'm guessing it cost too much?

PSXtreme I googled the plot as you described and came up with this site. http://www.bestbooklibrary.com/ as a reference point. You can't access their info without first registering...and then to do that you need a credit card (highly suspicious) so I couldn't proceed further into the investigation.

It's been so long I can't remember. We are always dropping and acquiring databases depending on their usage and the cost. It's a reader's advisory database and I think sites like Goodreads and Amazon and plain old search engines took its place when people wanted to know what to read next or they needed help with suggestions for similar books. I think the plot search was something used more by library staff.
