It'll do :)

I could have gotten a choice of German beers at the supermarket, but as I had already walked down the street and around the corner before I realised I'd quite fancy a bottle, I was too lazy to turn around.

Had no choice but to get a drink and the internet within reach to pass the time :)

TIME TO WATCH NETFLIX FOR AN HOUR, then continue to finish writing my play into new screenwriting software that I recently bought (the original copy I wrote on a TYPEWRITER I bought when living in NYC!)....

Yes, I was surprised about the saltwater as well. But the surgeon is in his 70s and has been doing this at least 4 decades, so I trust him.
Nadia, you make me hungry :)

LMAO!!! Poor Kat, feel better!! <3

Have just rediscovered a favourite album in my iTunes. Am tempted to wake the neighbours by singing along.

Grilled Lamb Chops: “Double boned New Zealand Lamb chops, slow-marinated with Aji Panca (Peruvian red pepper) and grilled to perfection, served with crispy seasonal vegetables.”
Pulpo 320: “Tender, Aji Panca dry-rubbed octopus charred to perfection, served with Frisse salad (mixed greens), Pico de Gallo, and Aji aioli with a hint of lime.”
320 Rice Bowl: “Succulently seasoned Cilantro and beer-infused rice with green-lip mussels, grilled prawns, seasonal vegetables, pickled onions, and spicy Rocoto pepper.”

If I had to choose between never hearing music again, or never eating chocolate again, I would turn up with a wheelbarrow for my chocolate, and no regrets.
My ex-husband works in the music industry, so I happen to be acquainted with a number of musicians, singers, bands, producers, and such. But that's definitely his world, not mine. I get bored when they talk shop.

YES TO ALL. Dang. :)

Cheers!

Coming up for air. Six hundred words down since my last comment.
I've been managing to hold writer's block at bay recently since I started digging beneath the surface and trying to understand what causes blockages. Most of the time I find it's a lot more concrete (and therefore treatable) than simply waiting for inspiration. I started a series of blog posts about it here:

I had a few more lines of inquiry to post about but just haven't got around to it yet, but maybe there's something here that might help...

So what's the issue? Where's the roadblock come into play?

That's the point, there is no roadblock right now. Over the past six months I've been pretty aggressively using a combination of techniques (that I blogged about) to avoid getting blocked, and it's been working quite well.

Nice! Do you perchance have an intercontinental delivery service?

Forever? -:)
Let's party and celebrate!"
Only for a couple of months, though it is wonderful to have a boss whom I see infrequently after being micromanaged in my previous job. Time to get the Peroni out, I think.

Because I'm going back to school! Well, sort of. Very excited!

The prep course takes 2 years part-time, and the exams are rumoured to have an 80% fail rate. However, the place I'm doing the course at got 100% of last year's students through the exam, so I'm more excited than scared.
This is a big deal for me, because my rather *cough* interesting *cough* career path meant that I lack the formal business qualification usually needed to get accepted. I had to make up for that with years of work experience, so it's taken me quite some time to get to this point.

Chartered accountant just means they have passed formal exams by an accrediting body that has a charter.
Anybody can call themselves and accountant, but whether they're good at it or not is up to them. Having passed the exams to become chartered means you really know your shizz and are recognised by a governing body.
The term in Germany isn't "chartered" either, but it's a similar process.

Am undecided whether to have another beer and watch another episode, or pack up the 'pooter and go to bed.

But pretty tired now. I think I shall retire for the night.
Enjoy the film!

Went to bed early, but to no avail because I just woke up from a nightmare. :(
Cheers!
