Reading 1001 discussion

How is the book written? Did you enjoy this? Does it add or detract from the plot?

I felt it was it some places easy to read and other ways, repetitive and redundant. I guess that the author wrote it rapidly, 7 weeks, and so it is rather sloppy.

The book is basically a linear narrative covering events in the life of the central character Fabrizio, occasionally we see the same events from different perspectives and occasionally the narrative moves back in time.

Personally I found the book dull.
