Creed by James Herbert

I didn't get a chance to get back into it but I think right now, Jon is on page 16 :) I'm going to pick it up tonight.
Charlene, you joining is great!! Yay so happy.

So, Creed is a pap. I find this funny because I just read an article about a paparazzo in Rolling Stone. It seems that this book is still right on par with things that are happening today. Here is a link if anyone is interested:

Thanks, Charlene!
I have to say, this book is different from the other Herbert books I've read, but it's a lot of fun!

I was very sad to read the portion about princess Di. It was poignant, considering what eventually happened to her.
Uff finally reading this sucker, 10% in :) .. sometimes I feel like a traitor for sitting and reading in my own house, ignoring everyone and reading for hours...oh well :P
I just realized that this will be my first time reading it in English, sometimes books taste different in native and secondary language so I'm curious to my overall feeling, so far it's matching up equally.
Also anytime a book starts near catacombs and sepulchers I know that I'm reading something awesome lol, love the background around the story.

Yes it was in Polish, I was a teenager reading it in my dad's house when on vacation, I went through more stuff that he has from his own library lol.
It does have an 80's feel, that's a great assessment Charlene.

Yay, I'm so glad you're enjoying it, It's as good as I remembered. I'm about to get a copy on my screen so I can read on when it gets slow.

I love how this guy talks to himself, the cat, how his thoughts are very realistic yet we are being told what a mess he is lol, something about him reminds me of Jon, but I mean that as a compliment!
15% done so far.

I mean that he's a no nonsense guy, that you both admire and maybe want to hide behind a couch sometimes when you mess up :P

Quote from Creed: "Didn't he read somewhere that rats were taking over the city? Good idea for a book there. Somebody ought to do it." :)
"Terror was the key, of course, for there's a fine line between paralyzing dread and galvanizing fright."

The rats quote had me rolling on the floor! :)"
I know, right? It cracked me up. :)
I'm enjoying the Britishness of the language, can I say that, does it make sense? It feels swift and a bit nostalgic but crisp, I finally have time to sit down with this book.

Oh duh.. someone told me that he really gets to be a dog in it, and I thought they meant a non canine type of a dog!
