I do, too.
I've always had a soft spot for British fiction, particularly horror.

It's slightly cozy with a promise of eerie done really well :)

I'm very happy to be reading this with you guys!

Char | 17465 comments Me too! I'm at 80% now and find myself wanting to slow down to savor the end!! I will be done by tonight and I'm sure I will be loving that last, final portion. :)

Jon Recluse | 12043 comments Mod
Me three! I had to force myself to close the book last night, so I could get some sleep!

Char | 17465 comments After this, I'm going to be reading A Simple Plan because it just came in at the library, but then I will be reading Son of the Endless Night in a buddy read with Addy. I would love it if you could join us, Kasia! I think Jon saw the thread and popped in and said he would join in. All the cool kids will be there. ;)

Morning Charlene :)

Aww you make me smile, I think I will join in, a friend send me the ebook but I'm ordering a paperback, I like those goodies on paper when I can. It's long but I can do it, the book sounds very intriguing!

30% in... I'm really enjoying all the nuttiness happening now, its non stop crazy while the intro was so normal in contrast, it makes the surreal stand out in a good way, and not non-realistic stuff form page 1.

message 59: by Char (new) - rated it 5 stars

Char | 17465 comments Yay! I'm excited! I'm going to set aside A Simple Plan and read the Farris book first. :) I think it's going to be great fun!

On topic, I just finished Creed and I loved it! It's my favorite Herbert book so far. I had so much fun with this read, I can hardly even tell you. :)

Jon Recluse | 12043 comments Mod
I have to agree.
This has been great fun. Both the book and the company. ;)

I missed the start of this buddy read, so I'm just got my copy, and I'm starting today. Good fun so far...

Hope someone else is still reading!

Hi Katy, glad to see you here, this is such a great book, the more the better. I'm 50% in.

Sorry I've been mia today, somehow bf and I went for a walk and we came home with a new pet, this poor little sad looking overheated rabbit at a Petland Discounts made it's way home with us, never had a bunny before, he's adorable!

Char | 17465 comments Even if I'm done, I still like to see what everyone else has to say. :)

Kasia, thanks for chiming in. Good to know I'm not the only one still reading, LOL!

I think rabbits make great pets. I had one for years. Congrats on the new addition to your household!

I grabbed copies of both Fog and Rats while I was ordering.

message 66: by Char (new) - rated it 5 stars

Char | 17465 comments I thought both of those were s lot of fun, Katy!

Kasia, how exciting about the bunny! :)

I'm at 50% now, and I love what he's doing with the Nosferatu villain. So very very creepy. And the descriptions are so vivid.

He just got back from the meeting in the park.

And Cally isn't who she seemed...

Char | 17465 comments The meeting in the park! Good stuff. :)

Rob Sharp | 74 comments I guess I'm a bit late to the game for this one. I read Creed years ago, from memory it was quite good. I think my favourite Herbert book was Moon. I didn't much care for his later books.

Kasia (kasia_s) | 4532 comments Mod
Thank you guys, just getting to my comments, had a busy day with the new pet, he's so precious I cant stop thinking about his sweet little munchkin mouth! :)

Now I have to pick a name... hmmm

But reading suffered this weekend, not sure why I'm being such a turtle the book is flying! 60%

80% in, I'm a snail lol!

But I love how the reader feels as if he/she was right there next to Creed the whole time, he really takes you with him, and like Jon said, makes me want to read Herbert more, next re-read will have to be The Magic Cottage, I still remember it fondly.
