Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments Heidi Ho, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo!

Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week (Send PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace)
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments Hey all - Looking forward to another round of SOS Bingo

message 7: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Hi everyone! I can't wait to start, I promise to keep up but I can't be captain. :) I can sub as captain if our captain ever needs a week off though.

message 8: by Natalie (new)

Natalie | 549 comments This is my first time playing so I do not want to be captain. I'm really excited and already have my free space book picked out. When can we start?

It looks like team six hasn't won since round two so hopefully we can change its luck.

Can we choose a name? The previous names are:
Sixie Chicks, Six Sexy Slinky Shifters, Twisted Sixes, Get My Book Fix Sixes, Six Sirens, Ssssssixes, and Vixen Six.

Any ideas?

message 9: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I am so not creative. But willing to vote!

Welcome Natalie! We can start the free stamp once official play begins. What did you pick?

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments ive been captain before so if no one else wants to do it I will .....

Six Sexy Sirens....

Ill work on some more

message 11: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Six sexy sirens is always good. :))

message 12: by Natalie (new)

Natalie | 549 comments I checked a list of adjectives that start with s. I like:

salacious, sassy, savvy, scandalous, scarlet, scatterbrained, secret, sensual, sensuous, serene, sharp, shatterproof, shiny, sinister, sinless, sly, snappy, snazzy, solar, spiffy, striking, stylish, suave, sultry, super, superb, and surly.

And since an earlier team did siren maybe choose a different mythical creature like a sphinx?

Also I picked Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison for my free pick. I read it a few years ago and was interested in using some of the other Elder Races series for this and figured I should remind myself of it.

message 13: by Lisa P (new)

Lisa P | 574 comments Hello ladies...it's good to be back playing bingo again with you all! Sallie being our captain sounds great to me! I'm from TN and have played a few times before. Where are you all from?

Going off of Natalie's list, how about Six Sultry Sphinx (or is it sphinxes, lol). Try to say that 10 times fast!

message 14: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I love it!!

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Hi Sallie, Regina, Natalie! Preethi here. This is my third round of BINGO challenge. Love this game- the surest way to reduce my TBR pile, and add some too!

I can help out wherever I can, but I don't want to be captain.

Yay on your first time Natalie!

Hi, Lisa P! We are once again in the same team for another BINGO challenge!

message 16: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Hi!!

message 17: by Lisa P (new)

Lisa P | 574 comments Ok, a random name just popped into my head,
"Six-Pack Attack"

Going to start looking for my free space book now.

message 18: by [deleted user] (last edited May 15, 2014 07:02PM) (new)

I'm good with Sally being captain, too.

Six-Pack Attack sounds funny. I love it. Oh, and I'm from India :)

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

As to my free space book, I have already picked out some choices. But, I'll tell my choice soon.

message 20: by Natalie (new)

Natalie | 549 comments Six Sultry Sphinxes does sound good but I do actually really like Six-Pack Attack!

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Any more team name ideas? I can't seem to think of any.

message 22: by Lisa P (new)

Lisa P | 574 comments Hi Preethi...nice to see you again!

Found my free space book...checked it out of the Kindle library.

Ok, here is one more suggestion "Cool Classix"...That's about all I've got! Anyone else?

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments Hey everyone - Im happy to meet you all...I live in Southern Illinois but I am a Georgia Girl always!!!

Since y'all have deemed me Captain unless someone else would like a turn - y'all get to pick the name we use lol

message 24: by Natalie (new)

Natalie | 549 comments I'll cast a vote for Six-Pack Attack.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments I have my Free Space book picked out now...When we get the first shelf called & determine which books we want to read for that shelf, post your Free Space book at that time also....

message 26: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I like Six Pack Attack too.

Thank you Sallie, let me know if you need help or a break any week. :)

I don't have my Free Space picked out yet, but I will soon.

message 27: by [deleted user] (last edited May 16, 2014 11:25PM) (new)

So, is it official? Sallie is the captain, and our team name is Six Pack Attack? If this is okay with everybody, Sallie can convey the same to the mods.

For my free space book, I will choose among Coyote Dreams (Walker Papers, #3) by C.E. Murphy , The Girl with the Windup Heart (Steampunk Chronicles, #4) by Kady Cross or The Force of Wind (Elemental Mysteries, #3) by Elizabeth Hunter .

message 28: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Sounds good! I just put a book back on the shelf, I hadn't started it yet but marked it as currently reading. I realized it may fit both Free Space or today's book call. Can't wait!

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Only 9+ more hours for shelf call!

Is anyone else jumping up and down for today's shelf/book call like me?

message 30: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I am!!

message 31: by Natalie (last edited May 17, 2014 09:54AM) (new)

Natalie | 549 comments I'm excited. I checked my free space book out of the library earlier this week so it's all set. I'm in Toronto until tomorrow but I have a lot of books that I can use for various spaces on my kindle ready to read for the trip back. I think transportation is my one weak spot so I'm hoping that isn't chosen.

message 32: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments So about 1.5 hours. :) I haven't planned out any books, but waiting for the call!

message 33: by Natalie (new)

Natalie | 549 comments FYI, the first seven books of the Dresden Files are on sale today. They should fit a few of the categories:

http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=gbsl_tit_...

message 34: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments That is a great sale. And if you own the ebook from amazon the audible book can be purchased for a low price.

Sallie(GeorgiaGirl) (shuga) | 1143 comments Im ready to play!!! Great name by the way...I like it..

message 37: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I am having a hard time with this shelf. The lest 7 or 8 books I read would have fit this shelf, funny enough.

Some ideas I have are:

Kill the Dead (Sandman Slim, #2) by Richard Kadrey Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett The Burning Bush (Santeria Habitat, #2) by Kenya Wright

message 38: by Lisa P (new)

Lisa P | 574 comments Demons...not my favorite shelf, but will work with it. I think I will read Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett . Maybe we can read it together Regina : )

For the free space I will be reading Phantom Shadows (Immortal Guardians, #3) by Dianne Duvall

Happy reading!!!

message 39: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Oh wow! I will see if I have it.

My free space book is Flesh and Bone (Benny Imura, #3) by Jonathan Maberry

message 40: by Lisa P (new)

Lisa P | 574 comments I'm sending a friend request out to all of you...hope you don't mind :)

message 41: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Accepted!! Thank you!

message 42: by Natalie (last edited May 17, 2014 07:10PM) (new)

Natalie | 549 comments Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward is my pick for demons. I'll also be reading Dragon Bound (Elder Races, #1) by Thea Harrison for my free pick. I don't think I'm going to read tonight but I'll be in a car for about eight hours so I expect to knock out at least one. Happy reading everyone! I'm excited!!

message 43: by [deleted user] (last edited May 17, 2014 07:11PM) (new)

I will be reading The Demon Creed (Demon Outlaws, #3) by Paula Altenburg for the Demons shelf.(Pg. 235)

This is what I call opportunistic! I had to complete this book in the next few day, anyway. Now I have a reason to read it.

message 44: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Love how Bingo does that! That cover is really interesting.

message 49: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Lover Mind was one of my last favorites in the BDB series. :) Glad you enjoyed it. I actually dnfed the last one. :(

I am about 35% through both of my books so far and enjoying both of them.

message 50: by Lisa P (new)

Lisa P | 574 comments I really enjoy the BDB series also. Right now I am in the middle of reading the last in the series The King and so far it's pretty good. I'm trying to finish it at the same time as reading the books for this challenge...It's difficult to put down at times.
