10.10 Required Summer Reading
Don't worry, there's no required essay. Read a book with the genre Literature or Literary Fiction on the main page genre listing. Regional literature genres like "European Literature" work. The genre may be embedded or stand-alone.

Susan A | 1719 comments How do I find a list of books with the tag literary fiction? I see the newly tagged literary fiction and the most read this week literary fiction, but is there a bigger list?

Thanks for your help!

Even if there was a list you would need to check the individual genre list on the main book page. The genre lists include a book shelved with a particular genre, but it may not make the book's front page.
You can start here- Literary Fiction (go to genres, search genres- literary fiction)
You can click on the more... links
And from those books on the page it is possible that the "Readers Also Enjoyed" recommendations are similar genres

Susan A | 1719 comments Yes, I'll be sure to check that the genre is listed on the main page. I was just looking for a means to search for books that may work as there aren't many on that page, and there must be thousands of books that do work.

If anyone find a list to browse, I'd appreciate a link to it.

Try going to listopia, search on "literary fiction" - that should give you lists.

I've noticed that most books having "classics" listed as a genre also show "literature".

Include a link to this verification post and you're good even if it falls off

Quick refresher- to link to a post, click on the date stamp on the post's tan header and copy the url

So basically for anything like this that might change or fall off a list, we should post for verification?

Thanks for your help!

That's safest.
There's no commitment- you can change your mind at any time and substitute a book, but since the GR genres do change if you get a genre verified you can use it safely (for the genre)

You can post in a task's help thread or in the Genre Verification Thread

If the genre falls off, you're covered by linking to the approval

When asking about a specific book it's helpful if you include a link
(Use the "add book/author" right above the blue message box- you can switch book/author tabs to add the author)
