30.7 Allison I's Task: Follow the Stars

I was born a summer baby on August 23rd. According to some horoscopes I'm a Leo. And to others I'm a Virgo! In honor of all the Leos and Virgoans out there read two books, one from each of two different options.

A. Read a book by an author who is a Leo or a Virgo born between July 23rd and September 22nd. These links may help: Author Birthdays, Famous Author Birthdays Any date that appears on the GR author profile will be used before an outside source date.
Required: State the author birthdate

B. Read a book first published in July, August or September of any year.

C. Take a trip to the stars. Read a book with the genre Science Fiction on the main book page.

NOTE: Books with genre "Children's" or "Kids" that are at least 100+ pages and conform to all other SRC rules may be used for this task.

Required: Indicate the option

SamZ (samwisezbrown) Does Mary Poppins work? Travers was born Aug 9, but I was wondering if it fits the SRC rules regarding children's books?

Setalpgninnpsekil | 51 comments What about novels that were originally published in serial form? For example, the Wikipedia page here states that the book was serialized "beginning with the September 1929 issue." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Malt...

Cindie | 1837 comments So Robert Galbraith is really JK Rowling whose birthday is July 31. Can I use The Silkworm (By Robert Galbraith aka JK) for Option A?

Hina (hinaj) | 677 comments Option B: The De Santis Marriage by Michelle Reid.

I am a bit confused about this...it seems that the kindle edition is published August 8, 2008 while the paperback was published in September 1, 2008. Either way I should be able to use it...which would be considered the original publication date?

Option C: Tempting Rever by Laurann Dohner. Science Fiction ~ 54 Users.

Kristine (kristinekae) | 251 comments Sue Monk Kidd birthday is August 12th but not listed on goodreads. Can I use her with a link to another source or get approval here? Also, Inamorata has an August 2014 release date but is available now on kindle. Is this ok to use before official release date?

Thanks
