My autobiography has received interest from libraries and my question is: Do I have to add Ingram since my book was self published through Createspace. Also if I do to I have to reformat the book and pay any fees?

Another question: If I go to 'expanded distribution' on CS will I still receive royalties if a library orders the book through Ingram?

You don't have to, but libraries are more likely to order through Ingram than Createspace.

You have to buy a new ISBN number, possibly reformat the cover, the interior should be fine (other than putting a new ISBN number on your copyright page, if you have one. There is a $49 set-up fee, but if you do it before the end of October, you can use the coupon code INDIEFRINGE16

Different people will give different opinions on whether you should/must use different ISBN numbers at different printers/distributors. I think it is a good idea to use two.

I sell paperbacks through both Createspace and Ingram. I use my own ISBN numbers and use a different one for each.

Some people use a purchased ISBN number at Createspace and don't enable expanded distribution, and then use the same ISBN at Ingram.

You cannot take a Createspace ISBN over to Ingram, and Ingram does not provide their own.

Though I don't know the details quite yet (and maybe someone here can further explain) but if you go through Blurb they provide an ISBN and have wide distribution through Ingram.

Navigating the library system is kind of messy. Some only order from specific distributors, others don't. I'm still seeking info about libraries.

Anyone else using Ingram for extended distribution, whether it is Createspace or Blurb, is taking their own cut. That means that the purchaser (the library or bookstore) pays a higher price than they would if you went directly through Ingram.
