It was night time, the sky clouded over and a cool dreary drizzle. And there was someone dead in an alley. Two people dead, actually, only one of them was up and moving. Pollux paced the alley, cursing as she cradled the soul in her hands. They weren't supposed to die, not yet at least, and that always grated on her nerves. The demons killed everything. Even those of their own species. Well nothing to do about it now. She stored it away I her cloak to be delivered later and pushed her hood back. The job didn't really have a uniform, however most people preferred black hooded cloaks and masks. Pollux didn't stray and wore one of those creepy masks that the Italian doctors would wear during the plague, herbs not included.
((I got to go soon, and might not be on tomorrow. I work until 1am!))

Cameron studies the figures below him. One was dead. The other he couldn't quite tell. But even if it wasn't dead he would not let it stray from his sight. He silently crept closer the edge of the rooftop. The other person. The one standing had to haven done this. Which in his experiences only led to one explanation. His fingers twitched,aching for a fight. He secured his rope and hopped off the Roof. He slid down his rope his gloves saving him from rope burn and studied the figure closer. It didn't really look like any other demon he'd seen before but you could never doubt. Better safe than sorry. Or better safe then dead. He stopped a few feet from the ground and hopped off right behind the figure. He raised his sword looking for any indexation that whatever it was in front of him was not a demon.

Pollux heard something behind her and spun around. When she saw the hunter with his sword, she briefly wondered how she must look, with the braked mask and purple eyes that seemed to glow behind it. The answer was not good. She slowly raised her hands and said "hey now..... Watch it. You might stab somebody" it was supposed to come out jokingly, but with her appearance, it was probably down right scary. Cautiously, the reaper took off her mask and offered a smile

Cameron wasn't buying it. He looked over the person in front of him. "What are you?" He asked clearly confused. They didn't look like a demon. Most demons he knew also couldn't speak. It just seemed like. A girl. Still his blade didn't dip or falter. If it did. It would probably get him killed. He waited for an answer not leaving his defensive position.

Pollux opened her mouth, then closed it "I'm not a killer, that's for sure.... I think the simplest answer is... Nobody!!!!" she slipped the beaked mask back on and flicked up her hood "it's best if you just keep on with your normal life. Trust me... Youll be happier that way" after a bit, she sighed and said "you don't believe me, do you????"

He rolled his eyes. "No I don't believe you," he said warily. Cameron kept his position. "And I don't have a normal life either so please. Bore me with whatever you are. He said gritting his teeth.

Pollux didn't have time for this. There were more souls out there that had to be collected before they fall into the wrong hands. "fine. You want to know what I am???" a scythe appeared in her hands and she slammed the butt of it on the ground with a resounding Crack. "I am a servant of death. Soul collector reaper, and recorder." she leveled the scythe at him and said in an even voice "leave me"

He backed away from her warily. "Fine. But I'm keeping tabs on you. If you aren't who you say you are I will come and find you," Cameron said threateningly. He put down the sword but didn't sheath it. "If you are who you say you are I suggest you get going,"

Pollux opened her hand again, and the scythe dissipated into smoke. She shouldered past him and knelt by the body, lightly touching it. It slowly disputed, leaving nothing behind. Standing up again, she looked over her shoulder and said "get in my way again, and I won't hesitate to kill you" she walked towards the back of the alley, and kept walking, disappearing into the darkness

He watched her fade away but continued waiting for another few minutes. Out of habit. The last time he'd sheathed his sword to earlier he had almost been sucked into some realm of hell. He sheathed his blade and backed away his eyes still not turning from where she had disappeared. Cameron kept his back to the wall before heading back to his hiding place.
