message 108: by Jake (new)

Jake (jakereid14) What's up everybody?! I'm looking a little like the black sheep in this group because I'm from the USA. Please do not think differently of me lol. I'm just another in the closet nerd who loves living the many lives that books allow me to live. I'm from Texas and love any genre of books from biographies to urban fantasy. My favorite books are definitely Game of Thrones. I am currently reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Thanks for letting me be a part of this group. May we have many discussions and read many books together. Peace and Love to all.

message 109: by Anirudh (new)

Anirudh Welcome Jake :-) Lot of Game of Thrones fans here :-)

Dennis Cardiff (dcardiff) | 3 comments Hi, I'm Dennis Cardiff, author of Gotta Find a Home:
Conversations with Street People, (book 1 of 4) released June 10.

I was drawn to this group because as you state, "We read a lot from different genres, and love to break out of our comfort zones and explore new books/authors." My book is out of most reader's comfort zones and I'm a new author. The situation I report on could be, but should not be, anywhere in the world.

My book is about people on the street, some who live there, some who beg for money. Who are they? Why are they there? What is their background? What do they have to offer? These are questions I explore in conversations with these friends who have accepted me as a member of their street family.

Humorous, tragic, heartbreaking, heartwarming, surprising, enlightening are some of the words I would use to describe this book.

I welcome reviews. Please reply to [email protected] with your email address so I may send you a digital version.

For more information visit me at http://gottafindahome.wordpress.com and https://www.facebook.com/gottafindahome
