Axel (Corps Security #1) by Harper Sloan ~Love Harper Sloan ad her covers are always so sexy! I fall in love with all her heroes N2U

Italian Ice by E.M. Lynley ~Setting is in Italy, My boss is from Italy and I have always wanted to go. TBR

Hi Cher!! I hope I picked some books you'll enjoy. I read some contemporary romance but mostly read paranormal so I didn't have a huge pool of new suggestions for you but I think I selected ones you'll enjoy.

TBR: Maybe This Christmas - This series makes me smile with gushiness. There's also some pretty amusing secondary characters.
New: Divorced, Desperate and Delicious - This book is great for laughs! Her writing reminds me of Jennifer Crusie's which it looks like you enjoy.

2. Recommend a book with a face on the cover- bonus if the face is smiling!
TBR: Perfect Fit - Well his face makes me smile :) Sweet romance!
New: Boarded by Love - New adult hockey romance. She also has an adult series but I liked this first book better than the one in the other but both are good!

3. Recommend a new release that you have been waiting for, or your pickee has on their tbr/preferred shelf
TBR: It Must Be Christmas: Three Holiday Stories - A little out of season but it comes out on the 4th!
New: Immortal in Death - You've read the first two books... keep going! I'm not caught up but I still get excited every time I see a new book in this series released.

TBR: Sweet Little Lies - You've read a lot from this author so I assume she's a favorite, hope you enjoy this one!
New: Slave to Sensation - This is a paranormal romance which I don't think I saw any of on your shelf. Nalini Singh is one of my favorite authors though and I think this one might appeal to other audiences.

5. Recommend a romance with a celebration in the story- maybe a wedding, or a honeymoon, or a ball - any life event that brings a smile
TBR: The Beach Wedding - I've not read this but I assume there's a wedding in there! I enjoy Bella Andre's books too so hopefully you enjoy this one.
New: Stay With Me - Opens with a party, iirc. Super sweet NA romance.

6. Recommend a shorter story, one that can be read when you have a little time to yourself
TBR: Loving the Odds - Just over 100 pages and sounds like a page turner!
New: Afterburn - Short, spicy book told in two parts.

TBR: To Hate Adam Connor - Lots of people shelved this as having a swoon worthy hero...plus that cover. Yum!!
New: Ride with Me - He won't seem sweet at first but Tom is very swoon worthy.

8. Recommend a romance set on a tropical island, or exotic location or somewhere you would enjoy travelling to.
TBR: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - I'm ready to hop on the train to Hogwarts!!
New: SEAL of Honor - Really good romantic suspense set in Colombia.

Thanks for the picks! I see at least a couple that will work nicely for next month, and some that I probably won't get to in October, but will definitely go on the TBR list for the future, as if I need any help adding to it... ;-)

Sometimes participants forget to change their profile status or friend their pickee, but this is what is needed, as stated in the opening post of this challenge-

In order to participate you need to either HAVE YOUR PROFILE SET TO PUBLIC (preferable), or friend the person giving you recommendations. PLEASE NOTE: if you choose to keep your profile private, it is your responsibility to send a friend request to the person picking for you as soon as possible after the matchups are posted. Whether your profile is private or not, it is also very important that your profile be set to receive Private Messages (PMs) in case anyone needs to reach out to you (mods, organizer etc.)

1. Recommend a book that made you smile/laugh: The hero in The Deal made me laugh as he had some great lines in the book - in fact the characters in this are just awesome. Or check out a sweet, small town romance with a touch of humor with Catch of the Day by Marcia Evanick as all the men in the town start courting the newest resident.



2. Recommend a book with a face on the cover- bonus if the face is smiling!: This series sounded pretty interesting - Demigods and Monsters by Raye Wagner. Or check out a great YA UF series where teenagers from all sorts of mythos attend a special school to prepare them for the ongoing war against Loki with Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep



3. Recommend a new release that you have been waiting for, or your pickee has on their tbr/preferred shelf: These are both from your shelves and sound pretty good. The Hammer of Thor by Rick Riordan and Nevernight by Jay Kristoff



4. Recommend a book written by one of your or their favorite romance authors: I love both these authors and they both have written couples in my all time top 5. Kelley Armstrong has a great YA series that starts with The Summoning. Ilona Andrews has 3 series I adore. Please ignore this awful cover, but it is a great story as Rose works to provide and keep safe her younger brothers in a world on the edge of ours in On the Edge.



5. Recommend a romance with a celebration in the story- maybe a wedding, or a honeymoon, or a ball - any life event that brings a smile: Fool for Love by Beth Ciotta is a sweet, funny romance set is a small town. Lots of family celebrations. Or check out the YA PNR with Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey where I was surprised at the depth.



6. Recommend a shorter story, one that can be read when you have a little time to yourself: No Ordinary Star by M.C. Frank sounded pretty interesting. Or read about the MC who is doing her best to plan love but finds out that it often shows up where you don't expect it with Love at First Date by Susan Hatler.



7. Recommend a romance with a sweet, sexy, and/or swoon-worthy hero: Roarke fits sexy and swoon-worthy as the romantic part of this amazing mystery series that has over 40 books now and is still great with Naked in Death by J.D. Robb. Watching Eve and Roarke grow as a couple has been amazing. Or check out the sweet and sexy guitartist for a popular band who gets married in Vegas and his new wife doesn't remember the day with Lick



8. Recommend a romance set on a tropical island, or exotic location or somewhere you would enjoy travelling to: Wanderlost by Jen Malone sounded cute and I would love to explore Europe. Or check out this great historical romance set on an island that makes their living based on products from flowers with Desire by Amanda Quick.
