The Book Was Better discussion

I just read this book last week, and LOVED IT! It is a classic story, but done in such a way that you still are guessing a lot while reading! I really enjoyed it, despite it being a remake of a classic story! :)

I NEED THIS TO BE A MOVIE. I WANT IT SO BSD

I really really really don't want this to be a movie! This is easily one of the best series that I've read in a long time and I've been so disappointed with most of the movie adaptations which makes me feel like this would be a complete let down for me! I don't know if I could deal with this series being ruined for me. Although in saying that, I'd absolutely love to see the world, the people and luna/lunars. It's such an intriguing book and I believe that if it is done correctly, it would be an incredible movie! I'm so torn I can't decide!

Movie please come!!

I have a feeling this would be a really bad movie, but I also kind of want to see it! I am still waiting for the second book from the library and can barley wait! So excited to see where the story goes from here!!

I looked around a bit and can't find any word on the series being made into a movie, but with all the books making it on the big screen right now I would not be too surprised to see it soon enough!

I've actually read an interview and Meyer has confirmed that he movie rights have been sold and as far as she knows, the screenplay has been done.
I don't know how I feel about this!

REALLY?!?! I feel like the story is well known enough that it will draw interest, and then also since it is so different from other books and such with the new twists makes is just so much fun! I cannot wait to keep reading in the series, I just hope the movie does not totally mess it all up!!

Am I the only one who doesn't want it to be made? This was my series that no one else I know has read and now everyone will know it oh no I sound so selfish hahah.

I hope you enjoy the rest of the series! I absolutely loved it!! I actually got both Scarlet and Cress the day they came out, and finished them within the day haha. I do think they are fantastic and they're so different to everything else that I've read, which is a nice change!

I think it would be fun to see, but at the same time I think it will likely be worse than the books by a LOT!! Maybe reading more in the series would help me be sure one way or the other....

I agree! I think some parts would be fun to see on screen, but overall they will totally ruin it!! There are just so many elements to this movie that need to be handled right to make it work, and I don't know that movie makers will get it all... Like, they will likely make her taking her foot off something stupid like making it a chip she removes instead so they don't have to try to make it seem like someone is missing s foot....
