Does anyone here read Amish fiction books? It's not my typical genre, but I just finished a good one today.

I read one! It was by Beverly Lewis, the queen of her genre. Not saying that she's the best, just that she dominates the market for Amish fiction.

I've always wanted to read a few Amish novels. Do you have some recommendations?

Mostly about the different symbols that stand for or, and, implied, and either or. Stuff like that. It's just confusing. I'm probably complaining a bit early though. : )

I'm not much of an artist unfortunately. I draw with my keyboard. My pictures are my 1000 words ^.^

Are you an artist? Drawing takes a level of patience I just do not possess... Not to mention some amount of SKILL, lol.

Not really an artist as in painting, but I have drawn a few. I uploaded a few on my profile picture if you'd care to see them.
Patience really is key when you're drawing. Sometimes a simple drawing will take two days for me to finish.

I draw manga, but I can do pretty good realistic pencil drawings too. Painting is not my thing.

I used to try to draw a little bit, but I gave up on that one, lol.

My drawings used to be terrible and then all of the sudden, *ding!* they were good. I posted some of my realistic drawings on my photos if you'd like to see them. A tiger, a jaguar, and two sleepy kittens.

Yeah, I want to see them! Unfortunately I'll have to wait til tomorrow when I can get on a comp. Mobile goodreads won't let me see them -_-

I have a strange question I'm supposedly currently reading six books can someone tell me how to read six books at once?

To answer your question, what I usually do is read a hundred pages from each book each day. Or you can just finish reading one book and then go on to the next one.

It's the fifth book from a series that I really enjoy reading and it's called Keepers of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messemger. I just pre-ordered the book yesterday!!!!

Oh! You know what, I've seen that book around and thought it looked great. Is book five going to be the last or is she going to write more? I ought to try that series out :D

You know, the month WAS going too quickly until I signed up for NaNoWriMo. Now I'm really excited, and it's going slowly, lol. I still NEED the time to finish a couple of things as well as the outline for my book, but at the same time I can't wait for November!!

Wow. Isn't NaNoWriMo a writing competition?

It is, sort of. It's not exactly a competition, but an event. It stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it takes place in November. You write an average of 1667 per day for 30 days so that you will have written 50,000 by the end of the month. It's an event to help you write a novel.
Daunting, I know, but it also looks really fun. There's a HUGE community, and people all over the world participate. There's forums and word-count helpers and inspiration all over the place, and you update your word count daily and have buddy writers... It's awesome. You should check it out at NaNoWriMo.org :D

I looked at NaNoWriMo about a year ago, and I decided not to do it. I think one of the requirements is that you have to copy and paste your document into their system so they can verify whether it really is 50,000 words, and I didn't like that. What could they do with my writing if it's not copyrighted? They could easily steal content if they think that it will make money, or use it for statistics, or share it with any other company. I decided it was safer not to do it, because there IS something in it for NaNoWriMo. What that is, I'm not exactly sure, but I decided that I didn't want to take the risk and hand my precious baby over to NaNoWriMo and say, "Here it is. Go crazy."

Oh, no! You don't have to give them your story! There's no copying/pasting involved at all! There's an option for posting an excerpt, but it's totally optional, and they actually SAY don't post your whole story here, it's not for that. You simply update your word count daily in November sort of like updating your page number here on goodreads.

They make money two ways: donations [of which they've already gotten over 300k this year] and NaNoWriMo merchandise available for purchase.

Trust me, it's totally safe :D Thousands of people around the world have been doing it for years now.

So it's pretty much to challenge yourself to write more? Sounds like fun! : )

For those of you who have been wondering how to post an image on goodreads, here you go. First, upload a photo in Your Photos. Then once the photo is uploaded copy the image and type in this [image error]. If you have questions please ask them!

Darn, that's a link, not the actual photo. So you copy it with the Snipping Tool? And then type in what?
