I like Tami Hoag's writing. Would not mind reading Deeper Than the Dead, if it is not considered too old (pub 2009,) because it is the first volume in a fresh series, the Oak Knoll books...

I's like to nominate The Whites by Richard Price writing as Harry Brandt.Set in New York in the Bronx, the 'whites' are the ones who got away with major crimes.
