The two stories were never connected by the author. Should they have been or were you fine developing your own suppositions?

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I didn't have a problem with the two mysteries not connecting, I was just surprised.

I thought they were connected, given Griffin's ties to Chicago and his onsite lab. She just ended the story by having the Chicago lab disappear. I was disappointed.

Robin (robinmy) | 1214 comments I don't like some of the open endings she writes in this series. Everyone at the lab disappeared. Are they going to pop up again in another book? Will Pratt still be looking for them? I'm just not a fan of this kind of ending.

I'm a fan of provocative endings but hers leave me in the wilderness.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I thought they were mostly tied together in this book, as well, but I was furious that there was no follow up on the empty Chicago 1970 government project. The ending was about 20 pages too short.
