Set before Beowulf is the legend, the story concerns the young Geat champion on a mission to destroy the walking dead, called dreygurs. I've attempted to capture the spirit of the poem with some of the historic elements of the time period. I've written the story assuming no reader knowledge of Beowulf and follows its own storyline.
