[ b ] eing a prince from a foreign land isn't all that it's made out to be. Kassim, while incredibly content with the idea of being royalty, has been increasingly confused since his arrival. There's a ruler for places he didn't think had royalty--apparently one for everything. They certainly didn't rule him--and just generally inconsiderate people. Or, that's how he sees it in comparison to his homeland that was known for courtesy and entertainment, despite how small a nation it is. He hails from a very tiny nation; so small, it's not on any maps. He's fine with it, and if he has to educated people on the subject just to get them to know they exist, he doesn't really care. It's his patience; it's on a legendary level. That, and he has a tendency to zone out when people take a very long time to answer or are generally annoying to him.

Kassim's not gonna lie; he's been known to get smothered with attention because of his looks and royal status. He'd be totally fine if it were just for the former of the two reasons, but he does tend to get annoyed about the latter. Which is why very few people know of him being royalty at the academy. At least, he hopes so. He's a bit of a hopeless romantic. Plus, there's that awesome little fact that he's supposed to be building up a harem to keep the bloodline flowing. If one thing is common in his country, it's that monogamy isn't exactly the norm. It hasn't been for as long as Kassim could remember. His mother was the third wife, and he was just one out of close to a dozen children conceived by his father. Was he upset by this? No, not at all; he turned out to be the first child.
You'd think that a nineteen year old prince who's over six feet tall shouldn't have to worry about something being taken away from him, but that's exactly what Kassim does. He's extremely protective, albeit a good deal possessive, of the things and people he cares for. Since he was a child, he's always been reluctant to share. He'd watch over his toys and books like he was guarding some sort of treasure that could only be given to those he deemed worthy. His siblings, especially the youngest ones, have always been those he's watched out for. He's much like a hawk around them, or some sort of animal that wouldn't allow anything deemed as a threat close. He almost lost one of them once, which would explain why he's not so eager to let them wander off into harm's way.
The years have shown Kassim to be quite the artist. He's grown to display a proficiency in sculpting and painting, and he thinks this is probably his mother's fault. She, before she married the king, was an artist herself. She liked to capture the world around her, and her son just so happened to pick up that same habit. Well, in a manner of speaking, at least. Kassim could say that his bedmates often got more than a little annoyed when he'd trace things on their backs and legs. Eliana was raised in an apartment building in downtown Tel Aviv with her parents & brother. She looks up to David immensely, and he takes any opportunity to tease her. Her family briefly moved to Sydney, Australia for a year when she was 10 for her father's corporation, Tov Medical Robots.

Ruben's parent own country clubs and vineyards all across America, and in some places in Italy. They have credibility in the business and food world, and also in their son's eyes. Ever since he was a kid, Ruben wanted to emulate what his parents had. Grace, honesty, kindness and intelligence. But he knew his role in this world would be a little different than his parents. Ever since Ruben was a child, he loved draw little pictures for his mom and create useless little projects for himself. His parents started to take the young boy to lessons, seeing how much he loved to draw and paint. Ruben caught onto it quickly and his skills grew tremendously over the years. Description: Orion is pretty average looking, especially by Vanderbilt standards. He's a bit on the shorter side at 5'5 and often sinks into the background due to his calm and introspective demeanor. He has a rounder face with chubby cheeks; something that drives aunts and grandmas wild. Despite not putting much effort into his appearance, he's been blessed with dark eyebrows and full lips that are chapped most of the time from a mix of dehydration and drug use. His eyes are a dark brown color and almost always seem the slightest bit condescending.
Personality
Positive: Orion is incredibly intelligent. He spends most of his time observing his peers, which means that he gets a lot of time to himself to think. Much more mature and kept to himself than some of the other students, Orion is a hit with teachers and other adults, although he very rarely finds himself speaking to them on his own terms. He knows how to manipulate people, but prefers honesty over anything else. Gentle and calm, Orion is a philosopher at heart and often finds himself scribbling new ideas about reality as we know it into the margins of his notes.
Negative: Orion is an absolute asshole, there's no other way around it. His preference to honesty shows itself in a bluntness that many others take a rude, despite him not seeing the problem with it. He's quite pessimistic and under the belief that if you let something go wrong, it absolutely will. Despite being a teachers pet he often finds himself in trouble for drug usage, although his family pays off the school to keep it quiet. We can't have any scandals going around, can we? Orion tends to seem uncaring about his sexual partners, often leaving them in the morning without so much as a "hey sorry but im not into you" note. In fact, he seems like he doesn't care for anyone.
History
Pre-Birth and Infancy: The Stellas are a family that dates back to what seems like forever. Originating in France, the family was rumored to have been "dropped from the heavens with Adam and Eve" from simply how old they are. They were dukes back in ye olden days, and have maintained their wealth ever since then despite how far they had branched out. Orion is rich on both sides, although his lineage with the Stellas is what most pay attention to. His mother came from slightly wealthy family in China and was married to his father in what was an arranged marriage. They promise that they learned to love each other, but they always acted far more like acquaintances than lovers. They had three children together; all named after stars. They thought it was hilarious.
Childhood: Orion, as the middle child, was often forgotten about. There was his older sibling who was far too perfect for anyone to live up to and his younger delinquent goblin of a sister that his parents always needed to worry about. Orion was starved for affection as a child, but quickly hardened into what he now is. His relief from his home life was books, and since his parents weren't quite there all the time 8 year old Orion was reading things such as Doors of Perception and The Island and the Communist Manifesto. At a young age he got very interested in drugs and their effects on the human brain, although he was too pussy to do it himself. Instead, 12 year old Orion watched his older sibling take drugs and wrote about what happened. That was most of his childhood.
Teen Years: As Orion got older, he began to experiment with drugs himself. Mixing things, taking San Pedro, drinking alcohol, ect. As he did this, his writing skills grew until eventually he was writing award winning essays while stoned out of his mind. It was then that his parents actively paid attention to him. His older sibling was in college, and his younger sister going to a all girls school in London. He was the last kid at home, and his parents finally decided that he should be out at some private school like his sister. He argued that he wasn't a danger to the health of the people around him like she was, but they weren't having it. He was sent off to Vanderbilt in his Sophomore year.

description :: Both of her parents died in a car crash since her father had been driving while texting and her mother had been drunk. Which led to her being raised in an orphanage, which makes her independent, as well as tolerant of verbal abuse, lonely and misunderstanding of love. She was practically raised by Leo, her Taurus "older brother", the only person in the world that she feels will ever understand her, in a totally platonic way. She is creative and found out about her talent in art by drawing over practically every empty space that was valid in her room. Of course, luckily enough for her, she was adopted by foster parents, James and Roger, who took care of her, besides being millionaires and huge in the business hierarchy. She had to attend school, of course, and her parents brought her here, hoping that she would get better.

Breaking: Heir to Wang Tech And Fashion Empire Set to Attend Vanderbilt

On Monday, it was announced that Wang Xinyi, the seventeen-year-old currently second in line to the tech side and first for fashion, would be attending the elite private school Vanderbilt Academy. The announcement came shortly after the odd-pair mogul family introduced a new line of products catering to the working class, which sparked added interest to talks of them potentially merging with several smaller companies.
The family has been known for capitalizing on prime connections, including deals with companies like Sony and Google, as well as designer brands such as Vera Wang and Louis Vuitton. Xinyi is set to be a junior in the Spade house of the prestigious academy, known for its wealthy and connected students as well as the new addition of scholarship students. In a short statement, the young man in question stated that he was "hopeful to improve his communication skills." Xinyi is famed for his somewhat exaggerated reactions to other celebrities, including the ever loved video of him meeting idol TingTing of TFX outside of a fan-sign event.

Xinyi's elder brother had almost attended the same academy, but ultimately decided otherwise in favor of a speedy graduation at a school in Shenzhen. As is usual with the rivalry of brothers, Tao has stated on numerous occasions that his brother needed to grow up and "get from under their mother's skirt" and has been sourced as saying his younger brother's attendance will do him good, as the family seems to think collectively. It's no secret that the two brothers, or well Tao with Xinyi, about the matter of the younger's antics and apparent presence on "stan" social media such as Twitter and Instagram. Just last week, the older called out his brother's behavior as being girlish, in regards to a particular concert outing in which the younger invited other lucky fans into his booth — free of reimbursement to "celebrate the debut stage of their loves" (the loves in question were a six-piece co-ed band, NE.ON).
Xinyi, even before such displays, had developed a sort of underground following on most social media accounts. Many of his postings were also well received as relatable while highlighting his poor communication ability and general anxiety that he continuously hopes to overcome. If he's not asking for help with interactions, followers of his social media may also see numerous pictures of flowers and art such as sculptures. He's known to post daily about different flower meanings to brighten his and his followers' day.
There's speculation that he may attend the academy with a bodyguard or be paired with a "buddy" under the direction of his father, who fears the school may be too much for him.

Seungmin wants, so so desperately, to be treated like an adult. He's sick of being babied — even though he still asks for help killing spiders, he's fifteen, and he wants to be treated his age. Everyone sees him as a child, when he's so much more than his face. Let him talk about the things he's interested in — photography, sketching, art theory — rather than expecting that he hasn't got anything to say.
He'd also appreciate it if people would stop calling him a scholarship kid. He's not, and he doesn't need to be looked down on any more than he already is. description ::One thing no one can deny about Leo is that he has flair. He loves to act and to be the center of attention. Leo was born in Berlin to a beautiful family. It was a family of all boys, two dads and three brothers. He loved his home and his country more than anything, Family life was sometimes a little bit hard but being the middle child is well known for not being amazing. His youngest brother, Sam was a total cutie. He loved to dance and play soccer. He was athletic, smart, funny and everything any parent would ever want in their child. As he got older he was always winning meddles for both academic awards and out of school things. Leo was never jealous of him, but he was also in charge of taking care of him since his older brother was never around. Thanks to the fact that Sam was so amazing, adults never seemed to be able to angry at him, so Leo was set to the task of constantly running after a kid who didn’t understand the word no. His older brother, Carter was never really in the picture. He had gone to boarding school since grade 6 and after that he moved to London for university. Leo had never really known Carter that well, which was all fine and good since he didn’t think he’d like his older brother anyways. He was super stuffy and thought he was better than anyone else (or at least that’s what Leo thought). Life went on as it does, Leo loved school and worked hard, made friends but all that ended when he moved to Newfoundland. He hated it there, it was rainy and it was so small! One of his dads, Patrick, had gotten a job as a substitute at a school there and since he had always wanted to travel the world, they moved without even asking the kids what they wanted. Of course, when Leo was finally starting to make friends, they packed up and moved on to Toronto. Life was changing too fast and too drastically for Leo. But finally it seemed like he had found a city where maybe, just maybe he could fit in. Leo’s sense of fashion and his loud behaviour started in this new city. After a while, he started loving Toronto more and more. He felt like he could express himself and no one would care or judge him, finally he felt free. And when everything was at its best, his life managed to get even better. He met Angelina. Everyone thought they were dating but in reality Angelina became Leo’s best friend. They did everything together, got into trouble together, did school projects together, everything. But after her older brother died, it all went down hill. She started skipping school and hanging out with a rough crowd. She started joking about committing suicide and stuff like that, but Leo never thought to much of it after all she was joking right? That was until she actually did commit suicide. Leo had always felt like it had been his fault, he knew her better than anyone and he should have seen it coming, but he hadn’t. After Angelina died, Leo started spending more and more time on his art projects and threw himself into his academics. Eventually he got good enough at both to get into the academy. Since Leo neither comes from a royal or influential family, it was a wonder that he could pay for school at all. But his parents and grandparents and every family member he knew all pitch in to pay for it. They all want Leo to succeed, and if going to this school is what it takes. They’re willing to pay for it.

JAMES IS NOT here to please, mostly because he doesn't have to be. Would his parents break out into song and dance if he told them he was going to take being a musical prodigy seriously? Sure, but that doesn't mean he actually has to live up to that expectation ━ not with his nan standing solidly behind him and his decision to pursue poetry. He has never wanted to be anything other than who he is, has never wanted to do more than what his interests allow (which is pretty damn easy when your parents are filthy stinking rich). And honestly, things at home would be a hell of a lot easier if his parents would just get that, would support him like his nan does. After all, he's fifteen; can't he make his own decisions?
Despite the somewhat strained relationship with his parents, James is doing fine with himself and is genuinely enjoying his time at Vanderbilt. It's a break from the stifling pressure of his talents and from his parents constant arguing and pleading. Plus, his days aren't just planned out in lessons and concerts and showings. He has friends, has a social life; he feels like a regular high school kid for perhaps the first time in his life. Hell, this little bit of freedom is more than enough to compensate for how the seniors keep trying to stuff his 5 foot frame into the lockers.

Callum's parents don't approve of his choice of house. They expected him to take up something boring, like politics or medicine or law — the three fields that people in his family tend to go into. But he dared to be different, dared to think that he could do anything other than conform, and now they barely speak to him.
Saying that Callum has had an easy life would be a lie. He's always lived in the shadow of his older sister (a successful artist who sells most of her works to galleries or family friends), looked down upon because his medium of choice varies between clay, wire and digital. His father is a businessman, his mother is a UN Ambassador, his sister is both a psychologist and an artist (and excels in both). HISTORY:
Katharina Mireille Combrière was born in Marseilles, France during the cusp of winter and spring by two Québécois parents. She is the youngest of two siblings, with her sister being twelve years elder, but they were still very close. Her family moved back to Montreal after spending five years in France, though Katharina still visits her old home almost each summer.
She was a fast learner, and had impressed her entire family by reading her first four hundred paged chapter book at the age of eight. After listening to a speech at a local art convention, Katharina was inspired to start heavily improving her art, working on all aspects, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpting, and even music and acting (though she is more passionate with the visual arts). Soon, her artwork was getting a lot of recognition, and was displayed in multiple exhibits around Canada and France. Her parents were super encouraging, but didn’t hover over her like some other kinds of parents. Katharina pretty much lived an innocent life, until, at eleven years old, she was in a severe car crash while driving with her friend. By a miracle, Katharina had only a broken arm, but her friend wasn’t so lucky, and ended up in a coma, and woke up with amnesia. Instead of turning towards grief, Katharina expressed this incident through her art, and started an organization devoted to helping the people who had suffered through similar things, and are trying not to give up on hope. A few years later, now that her sister, who is equally as passionate, is in charge, Katharina hopes to continue her education, and got accepted to Vanderbilt.
PERSONALITY:
Katharina was always told that she was mature for her age. Instead of playing tag or Monopoly, she was always spending her time daydreaming, reading, writing, practicing her art, or observing. She was always observing, taking little notes on the world around her to use as inspiration. Don’t feel intimidated or challenged by her clear gaze, for she is just trying to appreciate the life around her. Sometimes she can get too caught up in her studies, so she may seem a bit inexperienced in small talk and the language of slang (though she does write amazing speeches). Katharina is always trying to be kind to others, so don’t be afraid to approach her, or call her by a nickname, for she’ll definitely be nice and more open when she gets to know you more. She admits, though, that she is quite indecisive, and prefers to stay neutral on debates. All in all, Katharina is just that one friend you need that will listen to you and help whenever you need it, and knows you well enough that she can finish your sentence for you.
