PJ White | 12 comments Hi All,

My name is Pete White and I'm from a small town on the South coast of the UK.
I've recently finished writing book two of a Sci-Fi trilogy (Currently entitled Black Dawn) and as a result, have re-visited my original book to check for continuity issues.

I'm glad to say that there weren't any major problems, though a few revisions have been made, so now I'm looking to start a Beta Read for both books, so as to get a little feedback before self-publishing.

The series focuses on the exploits and POVs of a small nucleus of characters, amongst which, Robert Hewson, an experimental physicist, features most prominently.

Book one (Currently entitled Ashen) begins with a scientific breakthrough of huge significance, though unknown to the scientists, they’ve attracted the attention of a truly malevolent being.
As communications are lost with the scientists, Hewson and a rescue team are dispatched to investigate, though soon fall foul of their unseen enemy, and by the end of book one, find themselves marooned on a planetary scale penal colony (Called the Oubliette), completely at the mercy of their tormentor, one Ismael Kovak.

Book two (Currently entitled Starfall and combines both 'Sword & Laser') commences with a prologue that provides an insight into Kovak’s history, and how he came to be in control of the frighteningly advanced technology of the Oubliette, which can not only open singularities across space and time, but also enslave minds and warp physical matter into whatever nightmarish visions he desires.

During the epilogue in book two, everything is gearing up nicely for an end game, though as to where this will ultimately take place in book three, the jury is still out.

The word count for each book is approximately 80k.
I’m probably looking for about 6-8 Beta Readers and will release as many chapters each week via email as the Beta Reader requests.

If you’re interested in lending me your insights, please send me a message and I’ll forward you my email address.

Thanks in advance to any interested readers.

Best Regards
Pete
