do we actually have any evidence that the troupe was actually killed by the Chandrian?,

Kvothe went to play in the woods, when he came back everybody was slaughtered and they were camped out among the wreckage.

The Cthaeh pretty much said it was Cinder who actually killed his parents though, that he did things too her.

Isn't this a foregone conclusion? Then again, maybe it isn't. Is it possible that young Kvothe was wrong?

I think it is true that the Chandrian killed Kvothe's troupe and family.
After all, why would Rothfuss produce t-shirts (visit The Tinkers Pack) with "You have been killed by Chandrian" unless it were true. ;) To be a big troll? Hope not!
