Name: Edward Vincent Clayton Bobbet

Age: 130, looks 40

Gender: Male

Species: Vampire

Powers/Abilities: Typical vampires ones of super speed and strength, enhanced senses of smell and sight, and extra durability to wounds.

His body works similarly to a vampire bat's: he has to drink half his weight in blood, then falls asleep for half an hour to digest it, then he has to pee out the extra weight. When he bites people, he releases a painkiller into their bloodstream so they can't feel it.

Much like his wife, he has a persuasion power that if he chooses to use it, the person he bites will turn into a vampire. His daughters have this power as well.

He'll burn up in the sun, and can die if he gets stabbed with a cross in the heart. He also has developed an aversion to holy water in his age, and can turn into a bat. He also can't see his reflection in mirrors.

Appearance:

Edward is very tall and commanding-looking; he's 6'4 and has straight, golden-blonde hair that's kept short with some streaks of silver in it. His eyes are a bluish-teal, although they turn a blood-red when he's in his vampire mode, like when he's drinking or upset. He's also very muscular and usually wears some sort of business suit.

Personality: Edward keeps to himself, plain and simple. The only people he truly cares about are his family members. Many people who see him are terrified of his appearance, and once they hear he's very gluttonous, they become even more terrified. He manipulates people lower than him to get what he wants, which is usually what is best for his twin daughters. Obviously, Lemon takes the most after him, and Lime resembles their mother.

Good or Bad: Neutral

Relationship Status: Married

Crush: Ravenna Lillian Bobbet

(view spoiler)

Former: None

Sexuality: Straight

History: Edward has lived a pretty long time, although is still fairly young for a vampire. He himself was human, once, and ran a successful business back in the 1880's. It was a family business of sorts, where the son inherited the store from their father, and he intended to give the store to his own son one day.

At least, until he met Ravenna. She was like a princess in every way, with her perky freckles, dark brown eyes, and curly blond, nearly silver hair. She came into his store one day asking to buy some lace, and he could never forget her face. They soon met up again in town and started dating each other, and he soon got engaged to her, already picturing their idyllic life together, perhaps by the seashore.

In the 1900's, when Edward had just turn forty and had been married to her for ten years, Ravenna came clean with a secret of hers. Well, maybe not so clean-she slaughtered and ate from a deer right in front of him. Edward of course was horrified his beautiful wife was a blood-sucking creature of the night, and plotted to kill her, but as he was starting to put that plan into action, he realized he loved her too much to go through with it.

However, he knew there was going to be a problem. Ravenna admitted she had been alive for fifty years longer than he had, and would continue to live even after he died-unless she turned him into a vampire too. Edward thought it over, and finally agreed after some long months of thinking. She bit him, and he turned into a vampire.

Soon a new millennium was upon them, and Ravenna had recently given birth to two babies-twin girls, much to Edward's surprise and delight. They had both been born vampires, which saved the couple from having to manually turn their children into vampires later. They named the silver-haired one Maxine and the blonde-haired one, who was also the oldest, Eloise.

At this point, Edward had expanded his small family shop and turned it into a large enterprise, becoming its CEO of sorts, and naturally the family lived in luxury.

However, no family that rich and successful was without its opponents, and Edward had managed to make quite a few. He kept Maxine and Eloise sheltered away from the world as carefully as he could, and soon the girls turned sixteen in the safety of their own home.

But his opponents grew smarter and more careful. Instead of stealing them away in the middle of the night, they stole the girls away in the middle of the day, knowing it would be a dangerous feat since they themselves were vampires.

Yet, the plan was successful, and the vampires managed to brainwash the girls into forgetting their parents and dumped them in the middle of some forest on the outskirts of town. Seeking shelter from the sun once they woke up, the twins came across the old manor house and quickly took shelter there, the first two of many to seek refuge there. The cybernetic alien living inside, Monday, welcomed them inside, and after realizing they had no knowledge of even their names, she gave them new names: Lemon and Lime.

Edward and Ravenna were distraught when they learned their daughters were taken away from them, and continued to search night and day for them, never willing to admit their efforts might be in vain. Ravenna nearly gave up several times, but Edward convinced her to keep going.

He then was contacted by a school called Universe School, where anybody who was in trouble could go and become a student if they were in danger. He was informed by the Headmistress White that his daughters were there, and now he is here, searching for his daughters to bring them back home again.

He only hopes they remember him....

Family: Ravenna is his wife, and Lemon/Maxine and Lime/Eloise are his twin daughters.

Friends: They're all dead now.

Name: Cormac Moore
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Species: Shifter (bird)
Powers & Abilities:
♙Shifting: He can fully transform into an owl at will. (view spoiler)
♙Heightened Senses: He has sharp vision and quick, airy speed as a human and an owl. His predator instincts allow him to pick up the small sounds and movement.
♙Cross Bow: Attacking in his Owl form is not always best, so he learned how to use a cross bow. He even manufactured it to his standards.
(view spoiler)
Appearance:

(view spoiler)
♙Owl Form: (view spoiler)
Personality: Cormac has always been guarded. His emotions are muffled and his smiles often seem forced. His friends knew him as the rough and tumble smart ass that just wanted to get by without any problems. After learning his parents were murdered by vampires, revenge consumed him. Driven by his hate for the blood-suckers, he doesn't realize the impact on those around him. He may be able to live and function normally most of the time but it is always burning in his mind. Looking back has always been important to him, in a metaphorical and physical kind of way. Some things in the past shouldn't be left behind.(view spoiler)
Good or Bad: Neutral
Relationship Status: Not Seeking
Crush: conflicted
Former: Elena D'Wolfe (view spoiler)
Sexuality: Heterosexual
History:
Blood. Blood everywhere. The walls, the sheets. That's all he can see. The heart stopping scream.
Cormac has the same nightmare at least three times a week. He's had it since he moved in with his Aunt and Uncle, right before he turned six. He was never sure how his parents died but he thought the dreams had something to do with it. Or maybe he just had a gruesome overactive imagination. Still, it was a lot for him to deal with. He managed to live a good, normal life- even if he was crabby from exhaustion. Oh- and he could turn into an owl. It was a family thing, to be able to shift into a predatory bird from birth. It was possible, even if you weren't old enough to know how. His baby cousin, Quinn was born a little while after he moved in. The two of them grew up together. He always thought of her as a little sister, and she thought of him as a big brother. It took his aunt and uncle a lot of convincing to get her to call him Cousin. They were always very protective of Cormac, worried about leaving him alone. He never played sports with the neighborhood kids in the field two blocks away when he was a kid. It was okay though. He guessed it was just to keep him safe. As he got older, he was allowed to play team sports as long as practice didn't go too late, and they'd be waiting for him in the parking lot every time. There were always one or two vampire scares every year. No one talked about them very much to keep the secret from Mortals. But it was a very big deal. The other shifters often stuck together whenever it happened. The worst was when Quinn's been friend Gloria went missing. It was right after three kids had been found, completely drained of blood, the summer before. His cousin was pretty shaken up about it. His girlfriend of almost four years, Elena, was worried about it too. She was one of the mortals that knew about their world because her dad was a wolf, or so he thought. (view spoiler)(view spoiler)
Family:
♙Aunt- Lois
♙Uncle- Clark
♙Cousin- Quinn
♙Parents (deceased)
Friends: Erik (view spoiler), Soren, Bart
Other: He has a bird tattooed on his right arm in memory of his parents.

Name: Ravenna Lillian Bobbet

Age: 200, looks 35

Gender: Female

Species: Vampire

Powers/Abilities: Typical vampires ones of super speed and strength, enhanced senses of smell and sight, and extra durability to wounds.

Her body works similarly to a vampire bat's: she has to drink half her weight in blood, then falls asleep for half an hour to digest it, then she has to pee out the extra weight. When she bites people, she releases a painkiller into their bloodstream so they can't feel it.

She has a persuasion power that if she chooses to use it, the person she bites will turn into a vampire. Her daughters and husband have this power as well.

She'll burn up in the sun, and can die if she gets stabbed with a cross in the heart. She also has developed an aversion to holy water in her age, and can turn into a bat. She also can't see her reflection in mirrors, much to her distress.

Appearance: Ravenna is 5'9 and shocks a lot of people with her height alone, although they're usually shocked for another reason. She has flowing golden blonde hair that falls to her ankles that curls perfectly. The tips are silver, and she usually ties it up in a formal bun. Her eyes are bluish-purple, but sometimes are seen as brown in very low light. Her eyes turn red when she's in her vampire mode, like upset/angry or feeding.

She's very slim yet curvy, with pale skin and an expansive bust. She likes to wear Victorian clothes, and usually carries a parasol around with her in case she has to venture out in the sunlight. Her cheeks and shoulders are also dotted with lots of small freckles.

(view spoiler)

Personality: Ravenna is wise beyond her years, having gathered a lot of knowledge in her old years. Despite having a mature air around her, she tends to overreact to things and gives up on things way too quickly. She just can't be bothered anymore.

She's also very seductive, and uses her natural vampiric allure to manipulate people for information, blood, or when she was younger, a night of fun. She's glutinous and loves to drink more than necessary; sometimes she even drinks blood for fun.

Yet she's sweet and caring towards her own family, and doesn't want any harm to come to them. She also considers herself to be a proper Victorian lady, regardless of whether that's true or not.

Good or Bad: Neutral

Relationship Status: Married

Husband: Edward

Former: Many one-night stands with various men

Sexuality: Straight

History: Ravenna was born in the late 1790's, as just....a regular human girl. Her family was very rich and she was thus spoiled, becoming a very childish and tempered little girl who loved to play pranks on people. (view spoiler) Once she turned twenty and had been refusing marriage for several years, her family finally grew sick of her and forcefully engaged her to a foreign count who had been visiting their country, and Ravenna declined so much they just sent her over there to live.

The count was very mysterious and creepy, which Ravenna hated. Luckily, he didn't seem very interested in marriage to her either, and mostly kept to himself, telling Ravenna she could go anywhere in his giant manor that she wanted-except up in the attic.

The manor was so huge, it took Ravenna a few years to finally explore it all, and despite enjoying herself, she was still immensely curious about what was up in the attic. Maybe he was keeping treasure up there! So despite the count's warnings, she snuck up there one day while he was asleep-he always seemed to sleep during the day for some reason-and became extremely shocked and scared by what she found up there.

A large closed coffin was up there, along with a passed-out body. Before Ravenna could properly process the urge to leave, the count rose from his coffin, and she accused him of being a vampire-which was a correct accusation. In punishment for disobeying his orders, the count pounced on Ravenna and bit her, turning her into a vampire against her will.

Afterwards, he let her go, and after Ravenna was free, she tried to escape, only for the count to tell her if she left during the daylight, she would burn up. Distraught, Ravenna fell to her knees and began to cry, upset that her entire life was over before she felt it had really started.

Despite not marrying the count, she remained in his manor for several more years, slowly learning about her new powers and gaining more knowledge. Instead of the spoiled brat she once was, she had grown angry. Angry at her parents for putting her in this position, angry at the count for turning her into a monster, and angry at society in general for not letting her be herself.

At the start of the Victorian Era, she finally left the count to go be her own person, even though she wasn't even sure who that was at this point.

She remembered the tales of bloodthirsty vampires prowling the night to drink the blood of innocent females that the count always told her, and once upon a time such tales would've excited Ravenna, but now she was just annoyed. Why couldn't girls be vampires? So she became that bloodthirsty creature of the night, preying on innocent men and then drinking their blood after a night of passion.

In 1888, Ravenna celebrated her 190th birthday with dismissal, still not believing she had grown to be this old. Her hair, despite still being curly and bouncy, was streaked with silver on the tips, betraying her age. She still wanted to make a new dress for the occasion, so she went to a nearby store to buy some lace, finding herself captivated by the man who worked in the store. They hit it off rather well, despite the fact that Ravenna was the only one dressed in head-to-foot black and holding a black umbrella on a sunny day. Ravenna didn't want to get too personal, however, since he was a human, and despite being able to turn him into a vampire if she wished, she wasn't sure he would like that.

Despite that, the two kept meeting up again and again, and despite her reluctance, the two soon married. (view spoiler)

The two lived happily for a decade, Ravenna coating the entire house in shadows so she could stay awake during the day alongside Edward. However, he soon started to grow suspicious that she wasn't fully human, so she finally came clean and ate from a deer right in front of him, revealing she was a vampire. Edward was rightfully shocked, but eventually got over his fear and asked how old she was, and Ravenna lied and said she was fifty years older than him when she was really two centuries older. She told him she would outlive him unless he was turned into a vampire, and after several months of thinking, he finally relented and she bit him, turning him into a vampire.

Edward had turned his small business into a major enterprise and was its CEO, allowing the two to live in relative luxury, similar to Ravenna's older upbringing.

At the dawn of the new millennium, the two were awarded with twin daughters, whom they named Maxine and Eloise.

Eloise grew to follow Ravenna everywhere, even developing her freckles and blonde hair. She had also grown to be mature and wise beyond her years, even sweet, just like her mother once was. However, Eloise hated how much her blood her family drank and considered it disgusting and inhumane, begging to find a new way to drink blood.

Ravenna was caught off-guard, as there really was no way for a vampire to just....not drink blood. She bought some blood pills for her, which turned into a weaker form of blood when dissolved in water, then made up some story about how her siblings drank the stuff when they were younger and showed Eloise how to prepare them.

Of course, she had no siblings, and had observed the pills' side effects before with one of her friends-too much reliance on them would cause the drinker to go into an uncontrollable vampire mode whenever they smelled blood and would drink way more than they could handle, deciding to tell Eloise when she was older.

No family that rich and successful was without its opponents, and Edward had managed to make quite a few.

Ravenna wasn't willing to easily admit that her only living family members might be dead, or corrupted so much they were unrecognizable, which was what happened to her. Edward kept managing to convince her to continue on, that they would find them soon, that they were still out there somewhere and to not abandon hope. Ravenna would keep going on, despite her reluctance.

Edward then was contacted by a school called Universe School, where anybody who was in trouble could go and become a student if they were in danger. He was informed by the Headmistress White that his daughters were there, and Edward took Ravenna with him to finally meet their daughters once again after nearly three years.

She just hopes they haven't grown too far apart....

Family: Edward is her husband, and Lime/Eloise and Lemon/Maxine are her twin daughters.

Friends: They're all dead now, not like she had much to begin with.

Esther, was a sorceress and recently changed vampire when she became pregnant with her daughter. Freya inherited her mother's abilities at birth since she was a female. Esther was very powerful and taught Freya everything she knew, including dark magic. On the eve of her 21st birthday, Freya acted on her long-thought-out plan to drain Esther's powers and take them for herself in a power transfer ritual. As the power was sucked from Esther's failing body, Freya's power nearly doubled. When it was completed, Freya was the most powerful sorceress and vampire in Romania. It wasn't long before she made sure everyone knew it.

Freya combined her sacrificial blood magic with her vampiric persuasion to build an army of willing brainwashed vampires. With her calculated schemes and cunning mentality, she charmed her way to the forefront of Trasylvania's powerhouse- The Romani Coven. Any that opposed the new heiress met a very bloody end.

Freya Mikaelson continued

♕ Killian's absence was explained as a blood intolerance that rendered him bedridden, at least until he had passed Freya's tests before was allowed back into the castle. She used persuasion to wipe his memory of the brutal tests. For a few years, she was content with asking him to morph into one thing here and there.

When the traitor Robert was brought to her, she saw an opportunity to test Killian further. She told her son to torture the traitor but no matter how much she persuaded, he refused. So she punished him by chaining him up with the traitor. Her teenage son stumped her until she remembered his motivation. Ruthlessly, she ordered a guard to rough up Andrew and throw him in the room with Killian. As she expected, Killian was furious and just as shocked when a starved Robert was thrown into the room with them. The small cut on Andrew's lip was enough blood to send Robert into a frenzy. Freya watched as the other vampire pinned her son to the ground and went in for the kill. Just for a moment, she regretted her choice greatly. But as she had planned, Killian broke free and unexpectedly cut Robert's head off with his scythe arm. As punishment for killing him, all of Killian's fingers were broken.

In response, Killian refused to participate in anything else. His growing suspicions had made him smart and unresponsive to any physical punishments. To ensure his involvement, Andrew was introduced as collateral. Every time Killian failed, a guard would break one of Andrew's fingers. A protective and overly confident Killian put three guards in the hospital. So Freya personally broke his arm. She used her persuasion to make Andrew forget, perhaps it was because somewhere deep inside herself she felt guilty for harming her child. But it was more likely that Andrew was more of a hindrance if he feared her. Threats to Andrew made Killian obey and Freya successfully controlled him without anymore objections from then on. She used him in hunting operations and secret missions intended to harm or send a message to the Valkyrie Clan.

When Killian returned with his own changeling, Freya immediately made the girl an informant, persuading her with gifts and promises in exchange for loyalty. In order to keep her greatest weapon, her own son, from being compromised by something as silly as love, she introduced Arabella to Stefan. Stefan was her best bounty hunter and he was quite the charmer. He swept Arabella off of her feet. Heartbroken Killian asked for an assignment and that moment, Freya heard news of Jack's whereabouts. She sent Killian to retrieve him so that she could finish him once and for all. When he returned, Freya's heart practically froze from the hatred she felt for him. It had built up over fifty years and now she was going to make him hurt. She told Killian that he was special because he had inherited his abilities from his father. As she told him the truth, Killian lashed out at her verbally, demanding she tell him why he was treated like nothing, a monster for his whole life if he was so special. When she revealed that the man standing before him was his father, Killian was speechless.

Oblivion | 1 comments Name: Hawke Novak

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Species: Hyur Highlander

Powers/Abilities:
⚔Dark class knight- draws from darkness in and around him to amplify sword and magic attacks in numerous ways. For example: combining center sword-swings deal amplified dark damage -or- darkness allows him to leech off his enemies to heal himself and allies. He can also stab his sword into the ground to create a large effect-area attacks (salted earth; abyss).

Appearance: He has black hair with gray frosted tips and stands taller than average.

Personality: Hawke will always fight for what he thinks is right. He tends to keep to himself because he doesn't trust others. There is always an underlying motive to his actions but no one can tell because he has mastered hiding it. He is very blunt to everyone, mainly because of bad people skills. He may seem overly rough around the edges but is not afraid to make a joke at another's expense.

Alignment: Chaotic good

Relationship Status: Single

Crush: NA [Too busy- even if he did, he wouldn't tell anyone or make it obvious.]

Former: NA [There were few here and there but in the end, his cursed life made him realize its was too dangerous to be in love with anyone.]

Sexuality: No preference [Your guess is as good as anyone's. Even if you knew, it wouldn't get you anywhere.]

History: Born and raised in Limsa Lominsa, he left his family at a young age to work as a guardsman in Ishgard in order to support his family. Being an outsider, he was treated badly by the locals that he swore to protect. He couldn't quit for his family's sake and felt trapped. One day while trying to settle a dispute caused by one of the guards abusing his power, his anger overcame him and a shroud of black energy covered his body. It was then that he caught the attention of a man who offered to take him in and pay him. But only if he agreed to train to become a dark knight. A dark knight is type of fighter who is feared by many (for obvious reasons). Some time in the future while training, his mentor disappeared without a trace. With no evidence, he was chased out of town under the suspicion of murder. Unable to return to his family, he became a hired mercenary- going anywhere he could get, only taking jobs worth his time all the while looking for his missing mentor in hopes to clear his name. Since his travels, his motives have changed and Hawke is now working many different angles to get what he needs and complete what needs to be done.

Family:
Mother- Navah Rose
Sister- Alisa Pendragon
Brother- RJ Makus
Brother- Kaden Archen

Friends: He has lost contact with all former friends.

Other: While he uses darkness for his dark knight class there's something much worse he is hiding underneath.
He made a deal with the gods a while ago and in times of desperation he calls upon this gift that comes at a price with each use.

If he ever came into contact with anyone from his past he wouldn't remember them even if he wanted to, because of the toll the dark knight training has taken on him.

The only reason he is in this world is because he's looking for an anomaly from his world that is hiding in Val'JaLon and it's his duty to seek it out and eliminate it because of the promise he made to a friend he can no longer remember.

D e l p h i n a  R o s e  M o r e t z
Age 92
Witch

Hexes Delphi is frighteningly adept at laying hexes on people and things. With a small incantation and a touch of her finger or wand, a small signature hexagon will appear as a sign of her curse. On a person, it will seem like a little tattoo, and on an object it will be on it similarly. Once the curse is broken or carried out, the hexagon will disappear.
Curse Breaking Despite being the one to typically lay down the curses, Delphi is highly skilled at breaking off even a complicated curse. Her alternate phrasing is 'counter-curse' but the truth is that she breaks it. How she goes about it, nobody really cares as long as it's gone.

Delphina's hair color varies between blond and dark, depending on the light exposure. She isn't completely sure why it changes like that, but she is glad that it does. She likes when it's dark brown, but also when it has a bit of golden shine. Her skin is on the paler side, lending itself to a creepy glow when in the dark, and her dark eyes are made pop by her skin and the heavy eye makeup she wears. Her style typically consists of skirts or dresses that aren't exactly long, along with a low cut yet not revealing v-neck top. She prefers to be elegant, after all, not trashy. One doesn't go through a life as long as she has without having some regard for your appearance.

To put it shortly, Delphi is a brat. She likes things how she likes them and everything is supposed to go how she wants it to. Things don't just happen without her letting them. That's completely unacceptable. If something does go against her way, she'll throw a fit until someone fixes it...or until she forgets when it's something out of anyone's control. In conjunction with that, she thinks she's absolutely perfect, so she often ignores insults and doesn't get embarrassed, because 'she totally meant to do that'. Those people that annoy her, she'll put down constantly, and secretly vow to destroy their reputation. Don't you doubt that she will. She's never met someone who will match her stubborn attitude towards being set in her ways, but who knows...maybe soon she will.

Delphina Rose Moretz. Born to a normal, simple family. Where did it all go so wrong? The most popular belief on that is because of how 'special' Delphi turned out to be. Her magical capabilities began to show when she was about six years old and hexed her doll to come alive and use a pencil to stab anyone who stepped on it. Her parents were horrified when they learned not only of the doll's violence, but also that their daughter was the one who'd enchanted it. They kept her in her room after they found out, kept their distance and fed her through a slot in the door before they finally got a boarding school to pick her up.
Delphi was summoned from her room one day to meet a woman in the living room. That woman wore a large cape and a long and dark, airy gown that reached the floor. She looked very...strict, but Delphi liked her already. The woman questioned her only briefly before taking her away to the all girl's boarding school. Delphina soon learned that it was no ordinary boarding school....it was an academy for witches! She fit in right away, but she was always distinctly....darker. She was never interested in the glittery magics, and had a serious proficiency for hexing and curses. The girls were always afraid of her for that reason. Well that and her attitude which has always been rotten.
The years passed and Delphi learned very much about her magic and how she could use it, turning into quite the powerful dark witch. Her favorite hexes were always the ones to control people, and make them do her bidding for one specific task before they were of no use to her anymore. She did that trick in order to graduate, by convincing the landlord that he didn't actually want to foreclose on the school and instead sign the papers so that he no longer owned it at all. That little trick made her famous in the school for many years to come.
Not long after she graduated, Delphina started to travel. She went all sorts of places, not just to spread her magic, but to meet all sorts of people and discover new places. One night, she was at a concert and met an....interesting redheaded vampire who was appealing to her in just about every way. Having been to an all girls school for most of her life, she had zero experience with guys, but made out pretty well and they were together for a little while before ending it with a fling. Now as fate would have it, that was far from the last time they met up. Every once in a while, they would see each other again and do the same thing. Neither one would have really claimed to have a serious emotional attachment to the other, which suited them just fine. Even if she was possessive over anyone else having him while she couldn't.
On their most recent cycle, Delphina and Enzo were more...committed to each other, so to say, but that relationship ended much worse than any of their previous ones. They'd had fights before, and taken each other back after every one, but this one was big. Delphi, of course, didn't think it was that bad. But it was right before they'd parted ways, so she had no way of knowing how it had affected him. About a month after they parted.....Delphi found out that she was pregnant. It could only be one person's child. At first, she didn't want to have anything to do with him after he did this to her, but once Damien was born, she realized she didn't want to do this all by herself. It was time for her and Enzo to get back together again, she supposed. And who knew, maybe he would be honorable enough or something to take the kid.

Name: Alrick Mikaelson

Age: Appears 32; Really 123

Gender: Male

Species: Vampire [born]

Powers & Abilities:

♘Speed and Strength: He can move at extreme speeds, making it seem as if he disappeared or suddenly appeared. His speed and strength allow him to fly. His reaction time is almost completely instantaneous. He can deal a lot of damage, as well as take it. He heals incredibly fast.

♘Persuasion & Emotional Control AKA Mediator: Alrick is quite skilled with persuasion. He just has to speak his desire to convince someone of something. His mind is highly protected, except from those he trusts. No one can put anything in or take anything out. He can alter the moods of people around him by changing the atmosphere in a room (The larger the space, the longer it takes) as well as affect individual people on a more personal scale. He has an accurate gauge on people's moods in any situation and hasn't met anyone he couldn't read. He can't tell what someone is thinking, but can generally tell if they are lying. However, some people (Imogen) are especially good at guarding their emotions so he doesn't know. Negative effects of mediating can be seen in his personality, for example: rage, bias, depression.

♘Daylight Ring: Alrick has an aversion to sunlight that is much more severe than the majority of his species. He wears a ring, created by Freya, that allows him to be in full sunlight with no problems.

Appearance:

(view spoiler)

Personality: Ever neutral in behavior, Alrick has never been the outgoing type. He would rather experience another's emotions than put too much stock in his own. That being said, life events have led him to be a much better person and he tends to stick to things that work for the greater good. He has always been serious, attentive, and driven; though his purpose may not always be known- even to him. While his emotions tend to mimic those around him, he is completely capable of controlling his own and has a quick temper, especially when it comes to touchy subjects; i.e. his family. He is level headed and constantly looking to complete the next part of life's endless puzzle.

(view spoiler)

Alignment: Ally-dependent; True Neutral

Relationship Status: Widower; Single

Former Wife: Chloe (deceased)

Interest: Clara

Sexuality: Pansexual

History:

Alrick grew up as a member of the Dragoma vampire clan. He never met his parents; his father was killed by hunters in a raid and his mother's whereabouts were unknown. No one seemed to know very much about her. His Aunt Lina and Uncle Oxford took guardianship of him as an infant, even though they had no real blood relation to him. They were very good friends with his father, Alistar, and were the ones that took him in when he went through the Change. Alistar trusted them to protect his child. Regardless of where he came from, they raised him as their own and lived the traditional vampire life.

From a very young age, it was apparent that Alrick had inherited his father's emotional mediating ability. He was able to sense other's emotions and was able to effortlessly change them. However, he was seemingly unable to control his own emotions without effort. He generalized his feelings by adjusting to the emotions of those around him, borrowing feelings. For a while, he would ask Lina and Ox what a certain emotion was by explaining it to them. As soon as he knew what it was, he never forgot how it felt. He knew of some others, too, that he had never felt. His emotions tended to be fairly neutral because he preferred understanding other's feelings.

To his family's surprise, he continued to age until his early 30's unlike them. Born vampires tended to mature in their early 20's. Mortals often assumed that he was older than Lina, who didn't look a day over 16. He found the idea of having a family of his own to be something he'd never have. After all, it would require him to have deep-seeded feelings of his own that were just unfamiliar to him. He grew to love Lina and Ox but not the way he felt they loved each other. And even then, it never felt right. It was too personal to borrow so he chose to keep his distance.

Well into his mature years, Ox convinced him to explore the world and some others like it. When he found a place he liked, he claimed a small house. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. He had no purpose and without company, everything just went on endlessly. Alrick decided to venture out of his comfort zone in order to interact with at least one person, even if it was as brief as ordering coffee or riding on the subway. On a night out, he witnessed an ambush. Typically, involvement was beneath him but felt the urge to do something.

Alrick Mikaelson continued

♞So much time had passed that he was caught of guard when he caught wind of a Moroi attack in his former world. He decided to go check it out because there was a chance that it was something he needed to handle. Before leaving, he left her a note saying he wouldn't be gone long. A portal granted him quick access to the world. Upon investigating, it seemed that small families of Moroi were being killed in their homes. He kept a close eye out, reading the atmosphere. The energy of murder is hard to miss. Finding what he was looking for, Alrick entered a small home to find that he was too late. As he inspected the bodies, he knew that he had walked into a trap. His speed wouldn't be able to help him in such a small space as only three of the remaining four members of his team ambushed him.

They managed to beat him down and put insanely heavy shackles on him. Any attempt to escape would result in him losing an arm. It seemed like the only part they'd actually thought through was was catching him. They argued over what came next because none of them were sure how they wanted to kill him. Silver didn't hurt him and the sun only caused painful blisters. With his remaining strength, Alrick began to manipulate the atmosphere in the room. Suspicion and paranoia were all it took. Soon they were all cautiously eyeballing each other, no doubt wondering if the other was a vampire too. By the end of the day, tension was high and Alrick wasn't sure how much longer he could keep it up.

Before he knew what was happening, Ray pulled a knife on Cade and Mara. Ray made quick work of Mara but Cade cut him down before Ray had a chance to attack him too. It wasn't what Alrick had hoped for. He definitely didn't want to die. Too weak to continue, the suspicion dissipated from the room. Enraged, Cade turned to him, having just now realized that Alrick was to blame.

Alrick fought against the shackles as Cade plucked the blade from Ray's chest. Unable to break free, Alrick closed his eyes and waited for death. Instead he heard a strange sound and felt emotions from multiple sources. He felt loss, rage, and release. And then he opened his eyes to see Cade, lifeless on the ground. There were three other people in the room- a pale woman checking the corpses of the Moroi that hadn't been properly taken care of yet, a serious looking teenage boy with hair as black as night removing a silver stake from Cade's back, and to Alrick's surprise, the familiar dark skinned face of Jacobe.

Jacobe and the other boy left the building while the woman came over to him. Her powerful eyes pierced his soul and he realized that now he could feel the pain of grief radiating from her. The bodies of the Moroi must have been close to her and were killed solely for the purpose of capturing him. Alrick felt something he'd never felt before- guilt. Her sadness hurt his heart and he truly felt bad that he was the reason; his pain turning to tears. He wasn't sure what he expected her to do then. Instead of ending him, she removed his shackles and hugged him.
"It's not your fault Alrick. My family would be grateful to know that you fought for them. Thank you."

Alrick Mikaelson continued

♞Alrick wished he was closer to understanding Imogen on a personal level; especially because as she grew older it seemed he knew less and less about her. She was definitely different when it came to being open about things. He wanted to allow her to find her own way, just like his Aunt and Uncle had done for him. Sometimes he sensed that things were off but he knew that she was always more open about things with Freya and Bella so he didn't press too much.

They lived close enough that Imogen could take a 20 minute train to the Romani fortress, still choosing to live in their own place. They had moved from the home where Chloe passed but declined when Freya offered for them to stay with her. Alrick found that actually living there would make them a target considering Freya's vast number of enemies. In the spring, Alrick and Imogen made the simple trick to visit with Freya, who was lonely after Bella left to work in a distant world. When they returned home, they found their home completely ransacked. Alrick's anger turned to worry because it seemed to deeply upset his daughter. He and Imogen scavenged what they could and immediately moved in with Freya.

It wasn't long after that he learned of his mother's own problem. Someone was building a doppelganger army and she appeared to be the target. And now, Freya believed that they had decided to come after her family as well. She made a phone call to Arabella who agreed to make arrangements for all three of them to come to Val'JaLon- her undetectable world. As promised, a letter arrived the text morning for Imogen -and family- to go as long as Imogen attended the school where Arabella worked. Freya would be able to control things from a distance and Alrick wouldn't be separated from either of them.

CARMALOTTA JANE SURE
28 // Human

Enhanced Abilities
Ever since her death, there has been something off about her....but how are dead people to act? Are they not to have superhuman abilities? Somehow, she now has incredible strength that far surpasses that of a human- even her brother's! She can hear things from a mile away and her smell is nearly as good. The only question is, how did she obtain them?

Traditional Defense
Carmalotta has been trained in physical combat since she was a young girl and retained most if not all of that. Sure, she may have awkward moments now and again when her small frame can't deliver the amount of impact she intended, but she can compensate with the extra strength she now has. Additionally, she is well versed in firearms, and can shoot fairly accurately. However, she prefers limited recoil.

Carmalotta has never been very excitable or a very bright personality. But one thing she has always been is optimistic; the leader of a doomed revolution ought to be anyway, right? She's very passionate, and once she puts her mind to something she doesn't give up until she's reached it, even if it's dangerous. But she loathes putting people in danger, especially when those people are harmed or even killed. She has a big heart, and will go out of her way to make sure people are cared for, but she knows when to say that enough is enough and she has to take care of herself, but it will still take a lot. She's been through a lot in her life (and death) but her compassion stays strong, and so does her humor.

•♦♦♦•

Carmalotta was born to a strong, young couple who were unfortunately also rebels. They cared for her as best they could, fighting for her freedom in the future, but they failed. They were a great revolution and weakened the Russian forces a lot before they were wiped out and only succeeded in alerting the Russians that they needed to strengthen their defenses and tighten the rules on their slaves. Her parents were killed in the final fight, when she was barely five years old. That day, she had been left with the woman who would go ahead and adopt her after her parents were gone. So she lived there with her and her also adopted little brother Luke for many years.
She served the Russians like a good little girl and did her job as she was required to, even after she moved to the mines. She worked in the mines for years- longer than she was supposed to, but it worked out for the good. For years she had this pull towards something more in life than this- than conforming and letting herself be used. She wanted revolution like her parents did, with a fire to get it done. Many of those she worked with in the mines agreed, including her closest friend Diego who had the idea to get them free. It was risky, especially with so many people depending on them, but he convinced her that they could sustain themselves. So they blew up the mine shaft, acting like it was an accident, and faked their own deaths. Diego had failed to tell her that he had found an old entrance to a series of reinforced underground tunnels that they could live and survive in; could build their revolution in.
Food was scarce in the beginning, only having what they'd packed for themselves until they found a food storage with lots of non-perishable items that were old enough they couldn't read the date printed. Then they had more time. Once they were certainly sustained, each of them began the task of trying to move their families in as well, so a group of seven quickly turned into a group of thirty. Their force was small, but they were essentially free. They began to build their lives down there, explored the tunnels and found all the places they came out, then began to plan. So many of their people were still in the Russian encampments and Carmalotta hated the thought. She wanted them as free as she was. Free completely. If they could put up big enough of a problem, maybe they could get foreign support, but even that possibility was a long way off.
Their force was small, but with a lot of strategy they were able to cause trouble and get more people to join them. Well placed explosions, a bug in the slave tracking program, perpetually glitchy security cameras. They got many people persuaded to their side and free. Food became an issue, but one of the exit ports was found to be by a nice farm. The farm of course was small and very messy. It would take a lot to fix it up, but they got enough volunteers that it wouldn't be a problem. Things were falling into place almost too easily in the beginning.
Their people grew, both in that location and in other parts of the country, as their actions drew more and more attention. So far they were only causing disturbances, prepping for a war and letting the Russians know that they weren't just laying down and taking it anymore. Carmalotta and Diego were both elected to be members of their new council to discuss their next plans of action. They had no way to contact any help yet, and so some supply raids began to get them equipment for communication devices, so that they could at least talk with other forces. Right now they were separated and it was a good way to get snuffed out. Much to Carmalotta's grief, her brother Luke decided he wanted to be as helpful as he could and volunteered for almost all of the raids. Once he brought back a girl, and Carmalotta knew it was doomed, but she couldn't say a thing to him about it. She had a similar problem, and if this was the leadup to their final days, what was the point in trying to protect yourself from hurt by just being miserable.
After a year, they had their first major victory, forcing the Russians out of an entire city, but it was their first major mistake. They moved in to occupy too early, thinking it would be a better position for their forces, but they were wrong. Almost as soon as they were settled and feeling safe, they were struck back and many of their people were killed, including those that would have been otherwise safe had they stayed in their underground base. Carmalotta took it very hard, since she'd been one of them to push for the new position as she craved fresh air and whatever sunlight they could get. So many people were dead, and she blamed herself completely.
Unfortunately, that was about the same time her health began to go downhill. It was kept under control with some sort of tonic that Charlotte had, but it wouldn't help for the long term. That was alright, Carmalotta thought, as she only needed to make it to the end of the war to right the wrongs she had done. She told herself it was Karma, but deep down she knew it was just because of having been in the mines for so many years.
A few months later, the farm they had been getting their resources from was under close watch and they couldn't get the food they needed, forcing them to resort to more supply raids that up to that point they had kept to a minimum. Luke, as always, volunteered, but this time Alexis volunteered to go with him. More often than not, Alexis was training or helping in the kitchen, but apparently that day she deemed herself worthy enough to go. That, also, was a mistake. Alexis died on that raid. As if Carmalotta hadn't felt horrible enough about Alexis's situation, Luke shut everyone out, including her. She knew that her brother didn't want to be emotionally with her, and she's ashamed that wasn't her first worry. She loved her brother so much and she worried about how he so often volunteered for dangerous things and she didn't want him to be the one that didn't return next time. She started looking for alternatives, and finally one fell in her lap. Almost literally. The invitation to the Universe School required very little contemplation for Carmalotta. It wasn't addressed to her, but to Luke, and she thought he had to go. If only so that he wouldn't be in harm's way any more. Getting him there was going to be the difficult part. So she lied.... She told him they were finally getting some foreign help and that they had to go meet them personally. When the airship arrived, she got on with him, but managed to get out right before they took off in a way that Luke couldn't follow.
Over the next year or so while he was gone, Carmalotta was at peace knowing he was safe. She and Diego had grown closer without Luke intentionally interrupting them and found themselves making promises for when it was all over that they both knew likely wouldn't come true, mostly because of her health. It was growing harder and harder to hide, to the point that she often stayed in her room most of the day because she didn't want to show it. Being underground all the time certainly wasn't helping.

However, it wasn't her health that kept them from being together. A few months after Luke returned, Diego got captured while doing reconnaissance. After two days, his, along with several other rebels' execution was broadcast in attempt to quell the revolution. Carmalotta sobbed into her brother's shoulder. It hadn't been her who had sent Diego out - he had gone on his own - but it still hit her incredibly hard. He was one of the only people that she had let close to her and the only person she had ever wanted in her life for the long run. But his death did the opposite effect of what the Russians intended. Along with him being much beloved in their community, so many people had friends and relatives who were killed alongside him.
The surge of fury from the people stirred by the loss of their loved ones was enough to launch the comeback of the rebellion. The tactics changed- swift and powerful, they were destructive once taking a whole city down. It was about this time that they finally got some foreign aid. They had done all they could on their own, but were showing promise that they could do it if they had help. A few countries managed to give them aid, though most of it was in weapons and the like, not actual manpower. Still, they got enough help to finally overthrow their enslavers and began to rebuild their nation. It was a struggle to regain land, but they got a sizable portion before the Russians called for peace. Carmalotta had never even dreamt she would see this come to pass, but there she was signing the treaty that would give her people their freedom. She had been elected one of the leaders, which was an honor though it didn't last long. A few months after being elected and their new constitution was enacted, her affliction took over her lungs and she passed away, leaving her brother and only family left completely alone.
How Carmalotta came back to life is quite a mystery. Even she herself isn't quite sure. It was like waking up after a sleep that was too long. A headache, stiff muscles, and that weird sort of feeling that you're not sure where you are. And then an oddly placed gate right near where she was. Curious, she opened it and stepped through, then found herself in a whole different world.
