Kristie | 19193 comments Thanks, Susan! Almost there. :)

Kristie | 19193 comments I finished On the Island!! Woot!

message 106: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments I finished my last book at 2 a.m. my time. The big battle to save the world, or at least Chicago, happened at a Halloween party, so it qualifies for bonus points.

Kristie | 19193 comments Grey job, Casceil!

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I finished 3 books between yesterday and this morning. My eyes are tired, but they'll have to wait until this evening. My library's big sale is today, along with several authors. I really want to see Patrick Rothfuss , who'll be talking about writing the Kingkiller Chronice, and the Importance of Reading.

Lori Z | 2089 comments Well, I'm sorry guys I didn't get my 4th book finished. Life got in the way. A very special life actually. A friend of a friend found a 4-6 week old kitten along the side of a road, and they think it may have been dumped there. Anyway, my daughter and I went and got her and took her to the ER, we thought her leg was broken. Turns out its not but must have nerve or tendon damage cause she can't use it and they think eventually it will need to be amputated. She also has ringworm so we have her quarantined in the spare room. Other than that she's doing well. She only weighs a pound but she's eating and playing and loves to cuddle. I followed up with my vet this morning and other than her obvious issues she's in good shape. Needless to say we've fallen in love and she's found her forever home. So anyway, long story short (or not really) I still had 55 pages to go when time ran out. Sorry this is so long, but just had to share.
Congrats to all for all the reading we got done this week!
Thanks for another great toppler, Jaxnsmom!

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4039 comments Yay I did it! I read 4 books this week for the toppler, finished one I was already reading and read more of the book I was already into. Way more reading than I have done in a really long time. :D

That's a record, Jmom! 3 books in less than 2 days, wow! Have fun at the library.

Oh Lori, of course, that was more important than finishing the book. I feel so sorry for the kitten but happy she has found her forever home with you.

Casceil | 2728 comments Does the found kitten have a name yet? Congratulations on your new pet.

message 114: by Kristie, Moderator (new)

Kristie | 19193 comments I agree! Lucky kitten. Sounds like you were pretty busy!

message 115: by Lori Z (new)

Lori Z | 2089 comments Thanks guys! Yes, we decided on Tabitha, or Tabby for short, even though she's not a tabby, she's all black. Hubby kept saying it should be something about Halloween since it's Halloween weekend, and that's the only name we could agree on. It's from the old Bewitched tv show.

Kristie | 19193 comments Cute!

message 117: by Casceil (new)

Casceil | 2728 comments Tabitha is an excellent name for a black kitten found just before Halloween.

message 118: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments You've certainly got a good reason for not finishing the book. Giving an animal a home is a wonderful thing to do! Tabitha sounds like a cutie and she's one lucky cat. Just be careful if she starts twitching her nose :)
